[up]indeed!

I rather liked that episode. Then again I can't imagine hating any episodes from the golden era of 93-97

The 90's was when pro wrestling was actually good, now it's dumbed down for six year olds. I tell you, it bugs me to no end to see the WWE Raw trope page and the Crowning Moment Of Awesome page filled with a bunch of crap that happened in 2010 (2010 starts at the halfway mark, when the show goes back to 1993. Surely SOMETHING interesting happened during the first 16 years). The majority of the 90's entries I added by myself, but my memory is too fuzzy to remember everything. But these days the only time something awesome happens in WWE is when it's teasing going back to the way it used to be.

The death of Saturday morning cartoons. Nothing on Saturday morning but news and infomercials. But there was Gargoyles and Hercules: the Legendary Journies. Xena was OK until it got on a "Boo, pagan gods! Yay Judeo-Christian God!" hype.

And in the name of Tropes, I will punish you!

Reboot, Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders, Action Man, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Spider-man, The Tick, X-Men, Rugrats, Mighty Max, Sonic, Power Rangers, Gargoyles, Dexters Lab, Powerpuff Girls. The 90's had lots of great TV shows. It was a time when Fox Kids had a wicked saturday morning lineup and Mainframe could do no wrong. Unfortunatly as the decade wore on things got progressivly less awesome.

I just remembered a man Walking The Dinasour down the cereal aisle to point out the big bags of generic cereal on the bottom shelves.

Personally I associate half of the 90s with The Yugoslav Wars. The other half was Eurodance, Command And Conquer, The Simpsons and Mortal Kombat.

Oh and the Mortal Kombat songs that will haunt me forever.

Being hit with nostalgia for Swat Kats. Now that was a key ingredient for a fun day.

Threads like this always make me realize just how little in the way of media I actually consumed as a child in the '90s.

(Most of what I watched as a kid were Nickelodeon cartoons or Disney movies)

I miss early-to-mid-90s Jeopardy. They took themselves more seriously back then. No Clue Crew, not so many visual clues, no clues read by anyone but Alex Trebek, no overload of celebrity games, and there was a 5-win limit for champions, so as to prevent domination by one player and let more players win as much as possible.

I miss "The Adventures of Pete and Pete". And Ecto Cooler Hi-C. I used to love Ecto Cooler Hi-C, so off course they discontinued it. The real tragedy is that they took it off the market before I was old enough to buy alcohol, so I never got to figure out any good cocktails to make with it. What goes in a Ghost Buster? Well, now the world will never know.
