Inspired by the other Topic, I was remembered that when I am feeling in a faithless mood, somehow listening to things realted to the supernatural cheers me up! (Yes, I am weird, but think about it: If there are ghosts, demons or something, a God is possible too, right?) And while I am not feeling faithless right now, I wanna discuss with you gentlemen what do you think of these stories and videos, and maybe you could post some.

well, I have one. When I got really, really angry at my parents, a spoon wound up bent at an unnatural angle and put in my dad's coffee cup. And his cell phone cover wound up in the oven.

I was upstairs the whole time.

Ew.

My mother and Aunt always insist that they saw a demon that was haunting some poor guy that was hexed.

I hate it when I cannot actually test wether these stories are true or not. That is why I love videos.

The problem is that supernatural activity has a curious habit of vanishing when evidence is sought.

If you do find a video, then it's almost certainly either A) a natural phonemon, or B) a hoax

I have several run ins with the "Supernatural" . Not quite sure what they were, most possibly a temporary hallucination.

That being said once I was in a abounded building which we were trying to record footage of so we could use it as a model for Halo CE mod. Once we got to the second floor out camera's and cellphones lost charge, and I could have sworn I saw movement almost like a Shadow Person. We later found out that location had like over 50 murders and suicides in it, a couple rapes too. (It was a retirement home believe it or not)

Not saying those give any creditably to the existence of the supernatural or god, but it is creepy to think about. Whatever I saw still haunts me (metaphorically) on dark nights.

@Nick The Swing

Some people theorize that paranormal activity is actual caused by pent up, teenage angst. Not quite sure how that works, but figured it was worth mentioning.

Teenage angst storytime:

I recall vividly that walking into a recently cleared field agitated my Wiccan firends, and I suddenly felt very tired. Left clearing, felt immediately better.

Another instance, I got a tremendous headache near a sick-looking tree atop of a hill. My Wiccan friends wouldn't go near it. I walk off, headache gone. Go back, headache returns. I smelled nothing unusual, and was approaching it from upwind, that time. Leave, and headache goes away.

Yeah, it was wierd.

As a Christian, I believe that supernatural experiences do occur, and not always for the good.

But yeah, good luck finding definite scientific proof for the vast majority of them.

I had an experience. That's all I'll say about it.

I once woke up early, for no discernible reason (which is amazing on its own), and felt compelled to go outside. The sun was out, and a single white cloud hung in the sky. And as I stood, a light rain fell upon me for a short while, and dissipated.

I've never felt so close to God in my life.

There was nothing really outright supernatural about it, no strangeness to dispute, or anything of the sort. It just happened out of the blue, and was gone as quickly as it started.

More of a spiritual experience than a "supernatural", though.

Also, I think that the idea of anything being supernatural is croc. If something so much as exists, then it is part of existence, and I would state that existence is inherently synonymous with nature.

And lastly, check out the report unusual phenomena page here. Tis an awesome site in general. Try not to link the craziness of phenomena reports to William. He's one of my favorite scientists, and has tons of cool stuff on there.

[up][up] Ok man...

[up]I know that supernatural is a very strange term to use. And I can understand what you mean too by feeling closer to God. I will check the site, looks cool.

In any case, I have been teached since little that (this actually is a reference to a passage from the bible) that ghosts are actually demons posing as dead people. I know going into the search of the supernatural from THAT point of view would be like playing with fire, but... Oh sue me.

Have you got any videos at all people? They don't have to be personal ones. Just any video you have seen that intrigues you, makes you question the existence of the supernatural, etc.

I'm interested to know what your beliefs are, since these two statements are usually contradictory.

Anyhoo, back in the day when I was rather religious, during an intense Christian prayer session (a guy was speaking in tounges...which apparently prompted someone else to speak in tongues; a lot of laying on hands of people, etc.) I could feel the air getting very, very heavy. When I had my eyes closed, it certainly felt that something was in the room, even if I couldn't tell what it was.

Besides an awesome trek to the Winchester Mystery House, that's as close as my boring life has gotten to the supernatural/mysterious.

I don't see why they are contradictory.

God exists, and has effects on our world. I cannot think of any reason why he would be "supernatural". In fact, I would say that God is the most natural thing in all of existence. Nothing is more natural than God, as apart from him, nothing exists [[hottips:*:probably, though I have a certain theory as to God's existence which has to do with the description of the beginning in the Bible and certain discoveries in quantum physics which would suggest otherwise, in a strange way]].

See my posts over in "can anything be supernatural?".

I'm sort of... a Christian rationalist? I believe a lot of the traditional stuff, and don't take anything out of the Bible because I think it might be inaccurate or something, but I do apply theories and rationality in an interesting way.

Some people ask "Why?", but I ask "Why not?".

There was this one time, the night after my rabbit died, I heard the food still in her bowl being moved around like she was eating it.

Nothing else happened though, dunno if anyone else heard it.
