You've a point about the "stranger", though I think his resemblance to Cyrus is too great to be passed off as a coincidence if they're not the same person. If he's not Cyrus, he must be some sort of imperfect copy of his programming or something like that.
By the way, it's funny how Tron's speech about letting friendship cloud his judgement has seemingly shifted its meaning as the series has progressed: At first, we were led to assume he meant Clu, then Dyson, but now it seems he may have meant Cyrus (assuming he is the stranger).
I didn't see it myself, but apparently Cyrus is the name used for the VA in the credits.

The only one I've ever seen in Tron media is Abraxas from Evolution (if you don't count Tron 2.0, which I never got to play). But maybe to qualify as a virus the program has to be able to infect others.
Recognizers' primary function other than transport is bombing. A recognizer that size could drop a very big bomb, but I guess we'll see. As for why it's a secret from Tesler, Clu probably doesn't trust him.

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...Yeah, I forgot about the bombing and shields.
Something else that we all need to ponder about that recognizer is how big it really is. From the scene were its seen rising up behind Tron and Abel we can tell this thing is many, many, many times larger in scale. I'm thinking that its at lest 100x the size of a normal recognizer. Now, if this thing is a city destroyer then the reason Clu wants to keep Tezler in the dark is because he wants to take down Argon and Tron at the same time.
Who is to say Beck isn't already infected?
Signatures are for lamers. So, what did everybody think of Beckzler? That was a fun little surprise if I do say so myself.
Why did Mara go into Tesler's ship without a helmet on? I'm pretty sure both Paige and Pavel know who she is, and should be able to easily track her to Able's garage. I'm not sure this is something that will actually amount to anything, but it bothers me nontheless.

If tron uprising only lasts 26 episodes, they're definitely trying to cram in as much as they can. Particularly in watching Mara rise to become a kind of leader of resistance. It's gothic, but still very enjoyable to watch.
Lord Eric Wu, Grandmaster of the order of Troping.Reasons were probably established in the episode before. And Paige seems like a prime candidate for High-Heel–Face Turn; she seems the only competent, loyal, responsible person on her side of the conflict, and her motivation is idealism, not resentment, racism, or stupid aimless ambition. If there's one person that has the potential to be turned, that is a massive asset, it's her. Last episode, I wondered why they didn't try to kill Pavel while he was down; after a minute of thought, I realised that, dangerous sadist though he is, his incompetence is so massive, he's an asset to the Revolution. Heck, they should try to give him fake victories so that he gets promoted!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I've been suspecting that repurposing leaves a program mentally unstable. If that's true then all the crazys we've seen so fare could very well be the results of Clu's brain bleaching. This could lead to some very interesting turns.
If repurposing makes you crazy, then CLU is really fucking up his "perfect world", isn't he? He's really even more of a smug bastard than in the movie.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I was saying it might give rise to being crazy. Rinzler didn't come off as sane either way.
Rinzler didn't have that much personality besides "fight".
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I heard Disney renewed Uprising for a second season.
Is that true?
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. That is what is says on Wikipedia, though I don't see a source.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...I've read that on tumblr and that person was reciting it from somewhere else in a questioning tone.
I thought that State of Mind was okay but not much really happened. I wounder how much longer it will be before his friends find out. Also, Zed's new helmet was cool.
Tesler's turning desperate. State of Mind shows that he has to force people to support Clu (and by extension, himself).
I wonder how long until Clu himself decides to pull the plug on Tesler.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Yay! We completed a quest and got ourselves a new minion!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Heh. Quite the UST (soon to be resolved, it seems) in this episode. And poor Keller.
So who else took this episode as cleat set-up for Paige's impending Heel–Face Turn. Because at this point it seems more "when" than "if" it'll happen. It could actually make for a decent season finale - Beck (or "The Renegade") reveals Tesler's lies to Paige, she confronts him, big shiny battle, then Paige defects. Possibly taking Tesler out on her way, leaving Dyson to take over in Argon...

The true question is what will happen to prevent Paige's Heel–Face Turn from happening too soon. I guess that after seeing Beck in his Renegade attire, she'll feel betrayed and essentially cut ties with him. Beck will then spend a few episodes searching for proof that Tessler's the villain. Or, more probably, Beck will fail to gain such an evidence, meanwhile Paige will expose him to Tessler, then by some means (Tessler being wounded) the general's disc will end up in her hands, leading her to The Reveal. But that's reserved for the end of the season, I guess.
On how that will alter the balance of power, well, Beck and Tron still have Tessler to deal with. Pavel will no doubt prepare to strike and let's not forget Cyrus and Dyson's gigantic recognizer. Beck will surely need Paige's aid against all those threats.
In the next episode I expect some Slap-Slap-Almost Kiss, then Pavel will screw it up.

I feel I need to be clear, while I too think that the Stranger is Cyrus the fact that they didn't out right say that it was him means that there's still room for it to be somebody else. The Stranger's appearance gives off the feeling of a striped or incomplete program and I think there's probably something to that.
Now on to the other thing, Dyson's secret project. First off, it does look like a giant Recognizer but I'm wondering why? The Recognizers don't come off as something that would benefit form being larger unless they have another function that we haven't seen yet. There's a possibility that this Recognizer is a mobile weapon platform which would be really bad given its size, there's another possibility that it really isn't a Recognizer but rather a component of something else that just has Recognizer parts attached so that it can be transported to its finale location or there's a third possibility that the legs could function as prongs to lift things. Anyone have anything they'd like to share about this? To me, given what we've seen those things do, this is the equivalent of making a tug boat the size of a luxury cruise ship.
Did anyone else catch Dyson's line about how this project had to be kept secret form Tesler? Could this be the start of some infighting perhaps? Or do you all think Clu really did want this kept a secret?
