He Got Venustoise. A fake pokemon from a single episode.
Words fail me.
He occasionally just goes ahead and answers ahead of time.
I suspect that Alkinor also has a bit of a database on users, not just relying on the questions he asks directly, but noting patterns.
Doubt it considering how many people are just listed as iphone.

Not sure how you'd go about testing that.
I doubt it, as I've gone far and wide in my questions.
On a new IP, new acount, ask him for 20 characters who are anime/manga based, then pick someone not from there but that kinda resembles another, then check if defaults to anime?

Actually, I'd suspect the best way would be to have 10 people all think of the same character, but have had one of them already have answered that character or a related character beforehand. Or something? No that wouldn't work either, because while you're taking the test you're manipulating the data so there's different info for whoever goes first than for whoever goes last.
That would not work because the order of the questions are random (notice you never get the same first question, it alternates between three or so):
- Is your character human?
- Does your character really exist?
- Is your character an adult man?

You'd need a sufficiently large sample size.
He got Sam in 30.
He expected the answer to "Is your character an adult man?" to be yes for Commander Shepard, but got him/her in 20 nonetheless. (I just wanted to see the expected answer breakdown.)
Here's the breakdown for Barfolomew:
Question | Answer (Reasoning, if applicable) | Expected |
Is your character an adult man? | No (Because the answer to the next question is "No".) | Probably |
Is your character a human being? | No | No |
Is your character an animal? | Probably (In that he's an anthropomorphic animal.) | Probably |
Is your character a Pokemon? | No | No |
Is your character from a video game? | No | No |
Is your character from a TV series? | No (Although there is an official Spaceballs cartoon, I think it's Web Original.) | No |
Does your character have fur? | Yes | Yes |
Is your character small? | No | No |
Has your character ever been in a movie? | Yes | Yes |
Does the name of your character appear in the title of a movie? | No | No |
Has your character been into space? | Yes | Yes |
Does your character speak English fluently? | Yes | Yes |
Has your character driven a Ferrari? | No (Also, WTF?) | No |
Is your character a transporter? | No | ? (Even he had no idea why he asked this.) |
Does your character wear female clothing? | No | No |
Does your character mostly play in comedies? | Yes ("Mostly"?) | Yes |
Has your character been in something produced by the Disney Company? | No | No |
Does your character wear pants? | Yes | Yes |
Does your character like snow? | Don't know (It's been a few years, I don't recall any mention of it one way or the other.) | No |
Is your character linked with vikings? | No (Also, WTF AGAIN?) | ? (And again, he has no idea why he asked this.) |
Fucker got Hiro Protagonist in 19. HIRO.

Trope Tan in twenty. No surprises there, actually.

Guy With The Halberd in only 27 questions. For a character who's only been played 22 times, that's really very good.

Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.Mr. Scruffy in 40.
Took him like 25 questions to get Solid Snake for me, although for some reason after it seemed like he clearly got him at 24 (does he have a twin brother) he then asks if the character has ever sung alongside Ke$ha. wat.

It helps to explain the 'WTF?' questions when you realize that, A, questions have no relationships to each other (as far as he knows, being a man doesn't imply being male, nor does it mean the character's not a woman), and quattro, once he's narrowed it down to a single possibility, he wants to fill in as much missing information as possible.

Yes.

Yes.
>"Has your character died in Hell?"
What.

How are you guys getting "within X answers" that aren't 20/30/40?
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.
