Funnily enough, Enlong, I too have an idea for an Electric/Poison Pokemon; a non-evolving manta called Stingspray.

I remember on the general thread that we came up with a Rock/Psychic Tuatara Pokemon, I wonder if I could expand on that one...

Wispillow, the Dryad Ghost Pokemon. The ghost spirit of a weeping willow dryad. It is said that anytime a tree is cut down anywhere, this Pokemon breaks into tears. If she can see the person cutting down the tree, though, she instead is enveloped in a fiery rage and attacks the tree cutter without mercy. Type is Grass/Ghost, although it can learn Lava Plume. Stats are undecided; it's probably going to be a slow, somewhat bulky physical or mixed attacker. She has an ability that prevents any offensively-oriented abilities such as Intimidate, Pressure, and Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent from working on her.

Also in my idea bank is a pair of "spirit dancer" legendary Pokemon (600 base stat total). Both are Normal/Ghost types, one male, one female, names undecided. Male one is the "technical" dancer, and has a Technician ability; he has extremely high attacking stats with good speed. Female one is the "graceful" dancer and has a Serene Grace ability; her speed is extremely high while she also has good attacking stats. In addition to regular level-up moves, a tutor can teach them one special "dance", which is a unique-typed move that takes advantage of that dancer's ability (the male can learn priority moves and solid base 60 power attacks, the female can learn attacks with useful secondary effects). Only one dance can be learned at a time. The two also have a signature attack, Pirouette, which is a Normal-type move with base power 60, a 40% chance to confuse the opponent, and also has the spinning effect of Rapid Spin.

The two can breed, but only with each other (they don't care for Ditto). Their offspring is a third Pokemon, also Normal/Ghost, that is base 100 in all stats, can have either Technician or Serene Grace, and can learn any dance his/her parents could learn from the same tutor.

All three of them were thought up of before Meloetta was revealed in any way; alas, her presence means they're not so original now.

It is said that anytime a tree is cut down anywhere, this Pokemon breaks into tears.

Considering the size of the world, the number of trees, and industrialism, it's going to be crying just about nonstop.

I remember coming up with two when I was younger: One was a glow in the dark centaur teddy bear thing which I vaguely remember.

The other was a giant soap in the form of a squid with taps and shower nozzles at the end of it's tentacles. I could never sprite it well enough to fill my expectations :( I think it's pre-evolution was just a giant soap bar. I think it was Water/Steel.

Oh yeah, I came up with a Grass/Ghost type that was probably a starter, where it's final form was a tornado made of leaves, slightly resembling an upside down pine tree.

I came up with a concept for an evolution for Seviper before. Its name was Scythwyndr (in order to fit the 10-character name limit), and the blade on its tail would curve out like a scythe.

Because, let's face it, Zangoose has an unfair advantage over Seviper as it stands.

I am currently working on a whole region for fun. I don't have the document right now, but I recall atleast one of my brainchildren. A fire/bug starter, a scorpion based on military. Their claws shoots fire.

Starts as Scorchion (Private) then evolves into Bayorax (Corporal) and then Exoskell (Sergeant). Exoskell is also partly based on a tank.

I don't exactly 100% recall its stats, but I remember Exoskell's stats being something like...

HP: 100 Atk: 70 Def: 70 Sp.Atk: 135 Sp.Def: 120 Spd: 50

Yep, a specially-based mighty glacier with a uncommon typing, but a little weak on the physical side. Of course with stuff like Stealth Rock around, Scorpy here would probably not survive one second in the metagame. Still, I had fun thinking him up.

Ability: Blaze (Because starter) DW Ability: Skill Link (Learns a few moves that can abuse this ability, of course)

Edit: And I remember a few more mons, so I am gonna edit some in here.

A Fighting/Ground mon that is basically sentient sand that can take Physical hits without problem, but breaks like glass if a specially-based pokemon looks at it funny. In short, crazy defense or abysmal special defense. Appearance wise, think Muk, but thinner and more humanoid.

A Fighting/Electric robot with stretchy rubber limbs. It is a dance battler whose looks borrows from Daft Punk. Good offensive stats, but meh defensive stats.

A Dark/Psychic golem based on a black hole. In other words, it got a black hole for a stomach literally. Thanks to its black hole theme, it can have abilities like No Guard or Shadow Tag. No good idea for its stats yet, but I am thinking it will be a slow mixed powerhouse with meh defensive stats, since its abilities already makes it powerful enough. It also got a phobia of bugs.

Exactly.

A signature move for a possible Osprey-inspired mon:

Talon Dive:
Flying, Physical
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 15
Effect: Hits Water types super-effective.

If we're doing moves too, then here's something I came up with for the Tuatara Pokemon.

  • Mind Burst
  • Type: Psychic
  • Attribute: Special
  • Power: 120
  • PP: 5
  • Acc: 70%
  • Effect: Has a 30% chance of flinch.
  • Description: Fires a focused burst of psychic energy. Has a chance of flinching.

Also a few more for fun:

  • Warp Shield
  • Type: Psychic
  • Attribute: Support
  • PP: 5
  • Effect: Creates a (=user's level) HP barrier that absorbs special attacks. Cannot be Baton Passed.
  • Description: Puts of a mental barrier that absorbs special attacks.

  • War Cry
  • Type: Normal
  • Attribute: Support
  • PP: 20
  • Effect: Reduces foe's attack by two stages but increases all ally's attack by two stages. Those with Soundproof are not affected.
  • Description: Lets out a shout, invigorating allies and demoralizing enemies.

  • Psychic Scream
  • Type: Psychic
  • Attribute: Special
  • Power: 90
  • PP: 10
  • Effect: Hits everything but the user in a double/triple battle. Confuses Psychic types. Those with Soundproof are not affected.
  • Description: Emits a mentally damaging screech. Psychic types are especially sensitive to it.

No, I did not steal those from other games. That would be silly.

What would the Tuatara Pokemon be called? You conceived of it as a two-stage evolutionary line, right?

I was thinking of a pure Rock-type with mild psychic abilities (similar to Psyduck) called Tuaterra that evolves into the full-on Rock/Psychic Psysilisk.

I find it interesting that, due to their individual weaknesses and resistances, a Psychic/Dark Pokemon would have no real resistances save an immunity to Psychic-types and no weaknesses save a dual weakness to Bug-types.

But yes, I have a Psychic/Dark type.

A Water/Ghost type based on the myths of vila or rusalka. You'd find it in fresh water bodies at night and its cry would be the most horrible thing ever. Also, they're Always Female.

I had an idea for a Mirror type Pokemon. It is incredibly broken. It's like Wobbuffet's cousin. This is pretty much a product of my boredom.

Type: Steel/Ghost.

Stats:

  • HP: 150
  • Att: 50
  • Def: 150
  • SpAtt: 50
  • SpDef: 150
  • Spe: 50

Ability 1: Reverb

Reflects all physical attacks back at the opponent. Basically, a permenant Counter.

Ability 2: Reflector

Reflects all special attacks back at the opponent. Basically, a permenant Mirror Coat.

Ability 3: Magic Bounce

Here you go.

Dear god, this thing would be banned in a heartbeat.tongue

Thought of a legendary. I like to describe it as a Volcano Mecha. I do not have any names for it yet, as I cannot think of any good ones for this one.

Type: Fire/Ground.

  • HP: 90
  • ATK: 150
  • DEF: 100
  • SP.ATK: 150
  • SP.DEF: 100
  • SPD: 90

Ability: Magma Force (Adaptability with a different name)

Basically, a mixed powerhouse guaranteed to hurt with a fire or ground move, especially with Fire Blast or Earthquake.

Yay, necroposting. P= It was agreed upon in the general topic that this thread be reused as opposed to making a new thread. Since it might help other people to get their creations developed some, I'm hoping that we get some feedback on how to improve our 'mons.

Which means we'll need organization of some sort to prevent the entire thing from falling flat on its face. I'll guess we'll figure out how to do that as we go along here.

In the meantime, I'll just dump the 'mon I was working on in the main topic to keep in with the original idea of the thread. I've revamped it a bit since that discussion.

Tyranozoma

Base stats:

  • HP: 100
  • Atk: 90
  • Def: 110
  • Sp.A: 130
  • Sp.D: 150
  • Spd: 100
  • Total: 680

Ability: Evolution - when this Pokemon is switched in, its type changes depending on its opponent. It generally tries to both resist its opponent's STAB(s) and hit it super effectively, but if that's not possible it goes for the resistance. The change occurs after entry hazard damage, and cannot transform Tyranozoma into a dual type.

Signature moves:

  • Exocytosis
    • 50 BP, 80 accuracy. Hits 3 times, with each hit being a different type. The first hit is always the same type as Tyranozoma itself.
    • Alternatively: 120 BP, 85 accuracy. Ignores type when dealing damage (it can not be resisted or blocked completely, but it also never hits super effectively).
  • Mitosis
    • Changes Tyranozoma's type to a random type that either resists the opponent's or hits the opponent's super effectively.

I came up with a level up/TM movepool for this thing too, but I'll save that for when/if we come to a conclusion on how to organize C&C.

I kinda think "Adaptation" is a better name for the ability even if Adaptability is a thing. It describes the effect a bit better.

Alright. One idea I have is an evolutionary chain of serpents made of electricity. Electric/Poison types. Stat focuses are on Speed, Attack, and Special Attack.

The first stage is a small serpent made of electricity, kind of like a serpentine lightning bolt.

The second stage is more of a "forked" lightning bolt. That is, a two-headed hydra made of electricity.

The final stage is an eight-headed, eight-tailed Orochi-like thing, with a stormcloud ringing its midsection.

Signature move is "Thunder Tail", a physical Electric move with 85 Accuracy and 100 Power that can potentially Paralyze.

he would also get Coil and Magnet Rise, for support moves, among other things.

Abilities would be Shed Skin or Static, with Magnet Pull as the Hidden Ability.

Having trouble coming up with names for them. How about Ampaconda, Lighdra, and Thundrochi?

I want a Mantis Shrimp pokemon. It would be water/fighting, have high att(the strike of a mantis shrimp can break aquarium glass!), have high speed(it's also one of the fastest movements in the animal kingdom!). It would learn all or most of the various punches. It would have Iron Fist and some sort of ability to do with eyes or seeing things(Mantis shrimp have the most highly developed eyes in the animal kingdom!).

Keen Eye.

How about we have it be one evolutionary branch of a shrimp-based pokémon?

The other branch would be a Special Attack oriented variant based off of Pistol Shrimp. Learns Bubble and Bubblebeam, perhaps even a new Water-type bubble-based move as a signature attack, Hyper Voice (218-decibel bubble explosion), and various other nasty moves.
