Steelheart is getting a movie!
Did we know that already? Anyway, official confirmation with a director and everything. Hope they do it justice.
Nice, that's actually a book that would do fairly well as a movie without requiring any major changes. Not all books are like that.
Wasn't there talk of a Mistborn game (set as a prequel, before Kelsier & co are around at all, IIRC) a while ago? I wonder what ever happened with that.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It's been delayed to fall 2016, but I guess it's still going, according to Wikipedia.
I'm not sute I have many hopes for the Misborn game, but they could do a good job with a Steelheart movie. Hope they don't dumb it down too much.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'd actually think a Mistborn Adventures RP/Game would be more fun.
Also, random char idea: Coinshot/Tinmind Twingifted Sniper Use Tinminds for the extreme range sight and Coinshooting to boost the bullets for the distance.

"You can reply to this Message!"I'm kind of picturing a Mistborn game like Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, where you have a number of powers you can cycle through. But we'll see. Iron and steel will definitely be the hardest metals to make work, especially since those will be the ones people most want to use. Has it been confirmed that we'll play a full Mistborn, or will it just be a Misting?
Hmm pre Trilogy for Game, Assassins Creed Style.
Adventures Era for a MMO?
"You can reply to this Message!"I believe you're supposed to be a full mistborn, but I admittedly can't remember where I heard that.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I hope not. Stories are very hard to do well in MMOs. I'll take a normal game set in the Roughs, though. Or Elendel, actually, but the Roughs seems like the place to start.

I figure the Roughs in general have a *lot* of mist born RP potential. Sadly, so far no one in the RP forum seems to have the motivation to Gm one ^^
"You can reply to this Message!"Twinborn just have so much potential for munchkining. Though most Compunders are broken. Double steel is a human pinball, and double pewter is the Incredible Hulk.

A duralumin Ferring is known as a Connector.
...Add Duralumin Con-Artist to the list of fun char ideas.
"You can reply to this Message!"Yes, WHY DO I THINK I AM TRYING TO GET MATH TO READ THE BOOKS
"You can reply to this Message!"I believe he was referring to The Mistborn Adventures (ie, The Alloy Of Law and sequels) as opposed to the Mistborn: The Original Trilogy.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Yes, but math (our all purpose GM) has not yet read the books, or else I'd probably have convinced him to do a Fate Homebrew for Adventures.
Edit: Which wouldn't be *too* hard. Base it on the Atomic Robo RP for Fate with the various Ferrings and Mistings being specific Modes.
Worst part would be deciding how to do Feruchemical "Storing" in terms of stats. I'd probably say it works by giving -1/-X on the related stat and for every scene you have that you can store a +1 to be used later for a scene

"You can reply to this Message!"The naming of the distinction is arbitrary and confusing.
Just look at it! It says "Mistborn Adventure" right in the title!

Yeah, I have no idea who decided that the Sequel Series should be called "Mistborn Adventures", but it's more than a little silly given that Mistborn Adventures doesn't actually feature any mistborn.
Personally, I tend to refer to the original books as the Final Empire trilogy and the new ones as the Wax and Wayne books.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. The Wax books are called that? Sounds appropriately pulpy.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.It's only called that on this site, so far as I know. Wikipedia talks about "the Wax and Wayne trilogy," for instance. (Still calls it Mistborn, though.)
So whatever editor is responsible for that name, I appreciate your hard work but whyyy.

But I am easily confuuused.
I got in a bit of an argument with the guy who renamed the pages to Mistborn Adventures when it first happened. I wasn't able to find any Word of God on the series name, but I really didn't care enough to get in an edit war over it. I guess it's as good a name as any.
I don't particularly care for it, but the problem is that I don't really have a better alternative. If we can come up with something else to call it, I'd be all for a rename.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
How long until Marasi starts to Drives Like Crazy?
I mean, the point where Wax and Wayne consider riding with her more terrifying than making "Your Brother" jokes to Ironeyes.
