Oh god. Are you kidding? Kingdom Hearts 2 or Okami? Evil.
I wonder why DA: Origins is on PS 3 rather than PC given that it's basically meant for the PC.
Also, lack of New Vegas while Black Ops was listed was a tad annoying but meh.
How are they going to showcase the games? Just in the box where no one can actually appreciate them or set up as stalls around the room so that people can see what the games were like?
I assume they'll have a mix of art (sketches, concepts, etc.), videos, and playable demos for the simpler ones.
and Super Mario World vs. Donkey Kong Country? Wind Waker vs. Paper Mario? Goldeneye vs. Star Fox 64? FUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I'm trying to keep from voting in the games I like the most, but it's just...so...damn...hard.
For a real challenge, try Grim Fandango vs. Deus Ex.

Grim Fandango vs. Deus Ex makes my head want to explode.
Goddamit, both games are amazing.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Hey, it finally loaded. That only took an hour.
Why isn't Xenogears on there, dammit?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Crap, do I choose Donkey Kong, Pac Man, or Space Invaders? Hmmm...

Now posting as Enzeru, this serves as an emergency avatar backup accountRemember, "art" isn't only visual. Its also music and story, and often more abstract things. Hell, the art of Bioshock is specifically in the interaction between the game, the player, and the player's expectations of a game.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comNot loading for me. I do hope to pick Mother3, Okami and Majoras Mask eventually, though.
Mother 3 isn't there. Stupid No Export for You...
Ah crap, I'll just have to vote Earth Bound instead then.
How do I get to the voting part?
Just reload a few times. Eventually it'll work.
Nice, they have Life Force in the 8-Bit games. I remembered being in awe the first time I played that.

Thanks for telling me about this. *votes* Skies of Arcadia is there? Sweet. :D
Too bad there's nothing for handheld games, though. I know some that are really cool in terms of aesthetics.

Gragh! Paper Mario vs Zelda in three categories!
Hey... Minecraft! (Does it count if most of the art is by the players?)
I very much plan to attend this exhibit over the summer.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Um, you have 80 votes, you know. It's one per system per genre. Grim Fandango is not up against Deus Ex. You can vote for both.
Still some really tough choices in there.
Video Game Census. Please contribute.I'm surprised that they had Civilization Revolution but not Civilization IV or III.
Glad the best game ever Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door was on there. But alot of them came down to either familiarity or just choosing one of three I never heard of.
Oh hey, Portal is on there!
Kinda wish there were more categories...
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelMetroid Prime... 2? What the hell?
I mean, seriously, what the hell? Yeah, Metroid Prime 2 was a great game, but why the hell wasn't the first Prime game (AKA Bestest game ever) on there? And Metroid Prime is a much more colorful and attractive looking game, too, which counts a lot for a museum exhibit.
Also, I am sorely disappointed with the lack of Grim Fandango, but I'll live.
Still glad this is happening. I might check it out, since I'll be traveling to DC next year.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.
I'm happy that Skies of Arcadia is on the list, and having played no other Dreamcast games, I can vote for it with a no shame.
But Chrono Trigger vs. Earthbound (vs. Link to the Past)? That's just straight-up sadism right there.
Chrono Trigger is by far the best graphically, and for the SNES as a whole. But the art of Earthbound is in its writing, which made it the cult hit that it is.
Since the exhibition is focusing on the visual aspect, I'll go with Chrono Trigger, but I feel that both writing and visuals (alongside audio and gameplay) are integral when looking at Video Games as art.
