Amber picks up Cupid and squeezes him tight, nearly cutting off his air supply.

Amber: <GET AWAY FROM ME! I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU, YOU FILTHY CREATURE~>

Cupid: <Too tight! Too tight Lady Amber! XvX> -To Emily- <Sorry about her, she hasn't had a good experience with Rattatas...>

Emily: <I understand, my master has a similar reaction to->

Emily is cut off by a purple haired boy pushes his way through the tall grass, in the direction of Amber's high pitched scream.

Rémy: What's going on here!? -Notices Emily- Oh there you are Emily -Picks her up, and snuggles her- I was so afraid that I lost you! What brought you over here?

Emily squeaks in the direction of Amber & Cupid. Rémy glances at Amber and tries to introduce himself.

Rémy: Sorry if Emily scared you, she doesn't mean any harm. -Extends hand- My name's Rémy, what's your-

Rémy notices Cupid.

Candida: <Ooh...>

Rémy recoils his hand and steps back, absolutely disgusted by the small bird in Amber's arms.

Rémy: ARGH! A PIDGEY!

Emily makes a sighing noise and brushes one of her whiskers.

Cupid: <Is this what you were warning me about before he cut you off?>

Emily: <Oui>

Amber and Rémy start ranting at each-other about their choice in Pokemon.

Rémy: I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU OWN SUCH A FILTHY, UGLY-

Amber: DISEASED, BRUTISH-

Rémy: HORRIBLE, MALFORMED-

Amber: PARASITIC, INFESTED-

Both: RANCID WASTE OF A POKEMON!

The two blink at eachother, before scowling and pulling away their prized pedigrees.

Both: How dare you slander Pidgey/Rattata like that! They're adorable! And much better than that little beast you have in your arms!

Cupid: -sighs-

Emily: -le sighs~-

King Eelektross: (to a random peasant Linoone) <You! Are you happy with the kingdom?>

Linoone: (smiling as much as he possibly can) <Yes, I am very happy.>

King Eelektross: <... Guards, throw him in the dungeon!>

- Two Bisharp guards immedietly show up and carry the Linoone off -

Princess Kirlia: <But dad, he was happy!>

King Eelektross: <Yes, but he is sad now. And I like to stop crimes before they happen!>

Princess Kirlia: <...>

Goggles: <So, yeah. The princess wasn't happy, but she didn't say anything about it cuz she didn't want to risk being thrown in the dungeon. So, later, when she was alone...>

Princess Kirlia: <Ugh, this madness must be stopped, but what can I do?> (thinks) <Hmm... Maybe I should sing? That's what princesses do when they want something, right? They sing...> (thinks for a moment) <What should I sing, though...?>

Goggles: <So, while the princess was pondering that...> (puts the toy aside, and picks up some other toys) <A detective and his young apprentice were searching for a missing pair of slippers!>

Sunburst: <Wait, what? What does that have to do with the story so far?>

Amber pets Cupid while scowling at Rémy.

Amber: What do you know about Pidgey? Pidgey are fluffy, cuddly, friendly cute little snugglebirds who will stick by you till the end! Unlike that vermin you hold in your arms! All they do is bit others and spread their Arceus awful diseases!

Emily: <Oh... That is not very nice mademoiselle. It sort of hurts my feelings...>

Cupid: <Lady Amber doesn't really mean these things. She's just looking out for me.>

Rémy glares at Amber while hugging Emily almost protectively.

Rémy: Friendly cuddlebirds? Bah! That's a pack of lies if I've ever heard some! All Pidgeys do is stalk you until they have you cornered where they gang up on you and attempt to peck your eyes out and cover you with lice! Unlike Rattata, which are cute, playful, kind beings who only want to see their loved one happy! Not that you would know anything about that!

Cupid: <Ouch. That's harsh.>

Emily: <He gets riled up easily about these things. Please try to ignore his comments>

As Amber and Rémy continue to argue about Pidgey and Rattata, Emily and Cupid wriggle out of their owner's arms and walk off somewhere. To srike up good coversation away from the squabbling.

Emily: <I'm afraid that monsieur Rémy is the same. He was attacked by Pidgeys when he was younger, and has a sort of phobia of them.>

Cupid: <But you seem really nice Emily! So I would like to get to know you better~>

Emily: <As would I, Cupid~>

Cupid: -Chirps-

Emily: -Squeaks-

Amber and Rémy have started pressing their foreheads together, and look like they're snarling at one—another.

Amber: -Pulling out a Pokeball- Why don't we end this the old fashioned way?

Rémy: -Pulls out his own Pokeball- That sounds like a good idea. Winner has the better Pokemon!

Amber: You're on.

Rémy: Girls first.

Both: Beat

It's at this time that both trainers noticed their most prized possession has wandered off, and start panicking.

Amber: CUPID!

Rémy: EMILY!

Both: WHERE ARE YOU!?

Both of them run around looking for their signature Pokemon
