Shamouti Island - Some time later...

-A Delta Venusaur and Blastoise watch as Pleo lies sleeping in the middle of the clearing where they, Ferno and Holly had agreed to meet.

Pleo: <Zzz...>

Hydron: <He's so cute! Can I give him a hug?>

Thorn: -Stares.- <No.>

Hydron: -Lowers his head.- <Aww...>

Thorn: <So, now that we've got the Lugia, what do we do now? Those Pokémon you stole him from aren't going to be too happy when they find out about this.>

Hydron: <It's kinda' obvious that we're the culprits here.>

Ferno: <Oh, we won't have to worry about that. Need I remind you that Lugia is apparently on his way here?>

Hydron: <Yeah, and? When those guys go to give Pleo back to him, he's not going to be...Oh, I think I see where you're going with this.>

Ferno: -Smirks.- <That's right! All we have to do is wait for Pleo's daddy to wipe those guys out. Then, we'll move in and tell him to help us...Or his son gets it!>

Thorn: <Ooh. Clever.>

Hydron: <...Er, yeah, real clever.> -Gives Pleo a worried look.-

Ferno: <Why the look, Hydron? You wouldn't be thinking of, I don't know...defecting, would you?>

Hydron: <Huh? No, no! Not at all.>

Ferno: <Good. Because you know full well what happens to defectors...>

Hydron: -Gulps.- <Yes, I do.> -Sighs.- <Fine then. We let Lugia get rid of those guys.>

Thorn: <And then we can finally get the fair treatment we deserve.>

Ferno: <Exactly. Suckers.>

Thorn: <Oh, Ferno? Is Holly alright?>

Ferno: <Last time I checked, she was. Why?>

Thorn: <She's been acting kind of oddly since you two got here. Did something happen to you two on the way here?>

Ferno: <No, nothing out of the ordinary happened.>

Thorn: <...Oh.>

-The Venusaur glances over at the Garchomp, who is leaning against a tree on the edge of the clearing, an odd look on her face.-

Hydron: <Maybe we should talk to her.>

Thorn: <Couldn't hurt to try. Holly? Are you okay?>

Holly: <Uh...Yeah, I'm good. I'm definitely not hearing plushies speak to me or anything strange like that.>

Thorn: <...>

Hydron: <I think she needs help.>

Thorn: <And lot's of it.>

-Hearing Tagg and DS, Chord wakes up, pulling himself to his feet groggily.-

Chord: -Yawns.- <Jeez, you've been awake, what, three seconds and you're already proclaiming this day as a complete disaster.> -Rolls his eyes.- <You really need to lighten up a bit. Things aren't that bad.>

Trovitopolis PC

Nurse: — Thanks. We hope to see you again. ^_^

-Most of my Pokémon glare at her-

Nurse: — ... °.°

— Let's go guys... thanks.

-exits the Pokécenter and picks up Dintel for him to sit on my head for the trip. He still looks a bit dizzy...-

Ichtacya — <Poor thing was run over by a Golem... If at least [somemon else]> — rolls eyes and a paw — <had made sure that his effort was not in vain, this wouldn't be so sad...>

Algira — <Hey! I'm tired of you being so disrespectful already!>

-Algira flies over to Ichtacya and starts pecking her; Ichtacya responds by swinging her paws at the Masquerain. Copahue stares disapprovingly and decides to put Shahinne down and cover her eyes with his wings to spare her the view of the team infighting-

Dintel — <...Silent? Can we has go to the desert?>

— Sure thing Dintel... — pats him on the back — Sure thing. You deserve a nice day walking across the desert. I just have to check my Pokégear to see if I have anything pending to do...

-Ichtacya and Algira keep fighting, buzzing and growling at each other, while Copahue tells Shahinne a random tale about birds-

Ivy, Ivy, bill, junk, Ivy, the other Bill, junk... -sighs.

— OK. To the desert we go. No world ending threats, no stalkers, no worries. You are going to have fun. FUN.

-Ichtacya and Algira are suddenly recalled since I have decided they are getting too annoying-

-I take a walk around town for a couple of minutes, Copahue and Shahinne flying ahead; then we exit the city and take a road to the east-

Xatu: -Gets a vision of the future- <Well, today is going to suck.>

-Chord wakes Jello up, then gets him to use his Psychic trick to wake everyone else (With Treeo waking Harriet again, of course).-

Woolly: <So, Lugia's going to be here soon. Wow, sure has been a while since we saw him last.>

Treeo: <Oh?> -Tilts his head.- <When was that?>

Lake: <Ooh, I don't think we've seen him since...Obliva, I think?>

Woolly: -Nods.- <Yep! He helped us raid the Sky Fortress!>

Harriet: <...Was anyone apart from you two here for that?>

-Stratus, Jello, Treeo and Chord shake their heads.-

Lake: <No-mon here, at least.>

Harriet: <Right...> -Glances at Lake's bag.- <Is Pleo not awake yet?>

Lake: <Doesn't look like it. Little guy was probably up all night exited about seeing his Dad again.> -Smiles.- <He'll probably wake up soon.>

-While Chord tilts his head a Solstice and Twilight, wondering what the two were doing there, Lake slips off to speak to Tempest, Thyme and Rocky, who have also recently woken up.-

Lake: <So, what are you guys going to do now?>

Thyme: <We're not sure yet, but we do know that we can't stay here in the Orange Islands. Not after what we've done.>

Rocky: <I would go home, but...I forgot where I live.>

Tempest: -Sighs.- <Finding somewhere to fit in isn't going to be easy. We only joined Ferno's group because we literally had no other choice. Lake...Do you think you could help us?>

Lake: <Hmm, perhaps I could speak to Luke and Tracer and see if they could get you into the PEFE?>

Tempest: -Looks puzzled.- <PEFE?>

Thyne: <What's that?>

Lake: <They're a bunch of researchers dedicated to studying Pokémon. A lot of the people in this group are members of it.>

Rocky: <Researching Pokémon?> -Shivers.- <Are they going to-> -Gulps.- <Test us?>

Tempest: <I'm not really sure I want to go there if it means I'll have to be a lab Rattata.>

Lake: -Shakes his head.- <No, no. They won't preform any tests on you. Not if you don't want them too, anyway.>

Thyme: -Looks thoughtful.- <It's an interesting idea. We'll consider it, okay?>

Lake: -Smiles.- <Sure, that's fine.>

Tempest: -Glances at Lake's bag.- <Pleo not awake yet?>

Lake: -Shakes his head.- <Not yet. I'll admit, I did expect him to be up earlier. Perhaps I should check on him?>

Thyme: <No, he's probably just tired. He'll wake up when he's ready, I imagine.>

Lake: <You're probably right. I'll leave him for now.>

- Looks a bit worried -

Odette: (has woken up, yawns) <Day probably going to be horrible cause Guardé not here to protect us...>

East of Trovitopolis

-Dintel, still sprawled on my head, suddenly looks ahead with big eyes; then he sits to better appreciate the landscape and starts swinging left and right, already in a better mood-

Dintel — <Wow! Look at all. that. SAND!>

-Ahead of us, the road pretty much dissolves into the desert, which extends as far as our sight gets. There are some rocky formations all around, with Copahue and Shahinne nesting on the one nearest to us-

— Like it, Dintel?

Dintel — <This is so much better than water! Come on!> — starts pulling my hair — <Let's go!>

— Right, right... You stay up there and serve as my hat.

-I pick up some bottles water from my backpack, and start walking ahead into the desert. Ahead, Shahinne is happily chirping a song. A random Diglett that was around there falls asleep for no raisin-

Rex: *wanders back into the Poke Center, having returned from the beach trip; goes to shower*

Kim: I wonder what everyone's been up to since we left. *goes to look around and gather information*

Ohm: *has the String Shot ball removed from her face* :3

Some time earlier...

Crewe looks up from watching Skywalker and Izzie and smiles at Meddler. "I'm doing all right. Don't worry about me."

She pauses for a second, then asks, "Would you mind looking after my team for a little while? I'm gonna take Skywalker to do a little training on his own. They can look after themselves, just make sure they come when everyone leaves the Orange Islands."

Currently...

Crewe is watching Skywalker battle another Trainer's Xatu, and failing rather miserably. Her face is impassive as she gives orders to the Salamence that he fails rather badly to follow.

Mandarin South Desert

Dintel — <...No! A bit lower and to the right!>

-Since Dintel has decided to be my hat, he's being clingy to my head and having me pretty much kneel or go down to all fours each time he wants to examine a random rock. At least he smashed one to net us a random TM... Rock Polish-

-I frown as I examine the disc, then Copahue lands nearby-

— Great, a TM we can't use.

Dintel — <Hush!> — pulls my hair — <I'ma exploring for fun~>

Copahue — <Well, perhaps you could trade it to one of your friends?> — looks around sheepishly — <Perhaps you could get another TM that I can use...>

— Don't worry Copahue, I'm thinking of something nice for you...

You know how you guys are brothers, right? Well I was thinking you two should get to know each other.

-whisper to Benny-

Somewhere else...

Skywalker has fainted. Crewe recalls him, gets the other trainer's number, and walks away, searching for a secluded spot.

Benny:< So. . . .how's your trainer?>

Kim: *walks around looking for any sign of anyone* I hope they all haven't left...

Blossom: <Those nice Deltas are probably still here, so I doubt everyone is gone.>

Kim: Deltas? Here?

Eclair: <Criminals!> *bares her fang and extends her claws* <Where are they? I'll bite them!>

Blossom: *sweatdrops and tries to calm Eclair down* <No no, they're reformed.>

Eclair: *doesn't look convinced, but says nothing more*

Aqua: <I want to meet them! I've never seen a Detla before. :3>

Blossom: <It's Delta, dear.>

Aqua: <Yeah, that! :3>

Kim: Hmm...

Qui-Gon shrugs as well as a Boldore can shrug.

<She's okay, I guess. She hasn't exactly been around me or most of the team for a while.>

Benny: Neither has mine. So, does that mean you haven't heard the news?

Mandarin South Desert

-We move off the road (or what's left of it) and rest near a pond that has survived from the latest horizontailrainwindthunderstormcyclone. To Shahinne's annoyance, the water does not taste like chocolate milk-

-I decide to try releasing Ichtacya and Algira, as well as Lileep-

Algira — <Bzzzzzzzt...>

Ichtacya — <Rrrrrrrrr...>

Lileep -drags him/herself to the pond- — <.....?>

— Now you two... — stand between Algira and Ichtacya — are going to behave and have some fun around. Go, I don't know, eat something or build a sandcastle...

-Shahinne is randomly picking some grains of sand and small pebbles and moving them around, with Copahue nervously watching over her. He notices some Diglett, as well as a couple of Venonat, randomly walking around the other side of the pond-

Dintel -appears from nowhere, pulling a cactus trunk around- — <Oh! I like this part! But I don't want to stay too close to the pond.>

— Don't worry. Dintel. You can go with Copahue and watch over Shahinne, I'd be glad.

Dintel — <Sure...> — blinks — <I'm gonna go to that rock...>

-Dintel walks away and climbs to one of the nearby rock formations. There, he sits to look at the world around him-

-Ichtacya and Algira go to near-opposite sides of the pond, to drink, play around and tend to themselves-

"It looks like everyone's up. Should we get going then, guys?"

Lake: <Might as well.>

Stratus: <We wouldn't want to keep Lugia waiting. He might get mad again, and I really don't want that. Eep!>

Jello: <Neither do I. Brr...> -Wobbles.-

Chord: <You two are such scardy Skitties...>

Harriet: <They have a point, though. We shouldn't keep Pleo from Lugia that long. If the past weeks weather was anything to go by, then he has some serious rage issues.>

"Okay then, if you guys are ready. Pleo said that we should meet him at the Shamouti Island shrine, yes?"

Lake: <That's what he told us.>

Stratus: <That's right in the middle of the islands, right?>

Harriet: <Yeah, it's not far from here at all. shouldn't take us long to get there.>

Thyme: -Slithers over, along with Tempest and Thyme.- <So, you're going then.>

Lake: <Yeah...Do you want to come?>

Rocky: <Whoa! No thanks. We're the guys who tried to steal Pleo in the first place. If we showed our faces in front of his Dad, he'd probably blow us all the way to Unova!>

Tempest: <As much as we would like to say goodbye to Pleo, we should probably sit this one out.>

Treeo: <That would be wise.>

Lake: <Will you wait here for us then?>

"Once we can get back, we can help you what to figure out what to do with yourselves."

Thyme: <That's fine with us.>

"Okay then."

Lake: <We won't be long, then.>

"Come on guys, let's go."

-We all leave the Pokémon Center.-

Tempest: <...>

Thyme: <Tempest? Is there something wrong?>

Tempest: <...I dunno. I just get the feeling that something isn't right here...>
