-The second floor might have once held something, but the wall has been completely defaced with other drawings-

-The first depicts Alakazam and Metagross terrorizing Ghost and Dark type Pokemon-

-The second depicts something that looks like a piece of Alakagross Armor made for Alakazam with the helmet removed rallying other Ghost and Dark types-

-The third depicts them laying siege and claiming a tower that bears a great resemblance to the one they're in-

-The fourth depicts the armor infusing the Crystal Stars with Obscura-

-The last depicts Alakazam and Metagross infusing the Stars with psychic energy and sealing the Ghost and Dark types away-

-It is notable that in each of these the Ghost and Dark types are well drawn and convey a variety of emotion, while the Alakazam and Metagross are poorly drawn and only are showing anger-

Realizing just a tad bit too late that the Pokémon evaded, Aicha landed face first on the ground.

Aicha: <Ouch.>

As she got up again she thought a bit about trying it again, though she had to admit, going against a psychic wouldn't be easy.

Giggling she extended her arm.

Aicha: <I'll admit defeat. Maybe I could have used Feint Attack. But still, wouldn't be nearly as funny. *Giggle*>

Sierra: (nods) Uh, sure. Let's go.

A backpackers' hostel or something, several days ago

[Save for the faint glow of a TV screen, the room is pitch dark. Slouch is gracelessly slumped in a chair, staring vacantly in the direction of the set. His eyes are ringed by dark circles.]

[The half empty bag of potato chips precariously perched on Slouch's lap loses its balance and falls, scattering empty carbohydrates all over the carpet. Slouch exhales deeply and sinks a little deeper into his seat.]

[In a far corner, a door creaks open, and a Feraligatr steps through.]

Riptide: <Slouch?>

[Slouch does not respond.]

Riptide: <Y'know, I thought this was kinda funny at first, in a pathetic sense, but it's gotten a little out of hand. We're startin' to worry about you, buddy. I mean, when's the last time you slept?>

[Slouch mumbles something. Riptide pauses.]

Riptide: <I get it. We all saw the message. But...>

[He hesitates.]

Riptide: <...Think about it this way. Assuming Tagg's not lying or taking the piss- unlikely in either case, I know- your superhero friends'll just save the day like always. A big space rock is nothing to those guys.>

[Slouch mumbles something else.]

Riptide: <Hell, remember that supervolcano scare a couple years back? When Mt. Pyre was gonna erupt and wipe out all life on the planet? They didn't let that happen, and they're not about to let this happen. It's nothing to worry about.>

[Silence for a moment.]

Riptide: <Just... Keep that in mind, alright?>

[After a couple seconds' hesitation, Riptide walks over to the TV and switches it off.]

Riptide: <Sleep on it.>

[The Feraligatr moves back towards the door...]

Slouch: Rip...

[...and stops dead in his tracks.]

Slouch: Thanks.

[Pause]

Slouch: G'night.

Riptide: <Night, buddy.>

[Riptide exits, closing the door carefully behind him.]

Jacob: "Well you'd know all about that, wouldn't you?"

Verax: -Raises an eyebrow- "You're in a foul mood."

Jacob: "I'm also just kind of on edge. I have this, I have the meteor that's gonna kill us, I still haven't figured out Hikari's deal yet, Trint apparently is having some issues, Arceus knows what Leng is up to... I just... I don't want to. I want to go curl up somewhere and sleep."

Verax: "Except you won't. That's a choice. You could choose to just roll out of bed and treat it like an achievement or you can choose to do-"

Jacob: -Throws his hands up- "When did this become this conversation? Look it doesn't matter I'm going that's that. "

Verax: -Eyebrow raising intensifies- "... You know I do have to wonder how you've kept all your friends."

Jacob: "I think I'd put it down to my dark cold exterior secretly concealing a hidden heart of gold."

Verax: "You're an empath?"

Jacob: "..."

Verax: :3

Jacob: "How the hell did you do... ugh never mind you know where to reach me if you need me."

-He walks off-

Odie: <OK, all the electrical and cookware stuff is all set up...>

Seishirou: <...Wait, do any of us actually know how to bake?>
