I love the Wario Land series, great gameplay and great music!

I've only played Wario L And 3 and 4 but I loved them both. very very fun games.

Though I've never been interested in the Wario Ware games. Guess I've just never been a fan of minigame fests.

You should at least try Wario Ware DIY, making your own games is cool!

I've only played the original Wario Ware, but it's gooood times anyway. Especially Dr. Wario and Pyoro.

I've played almost every Wario game. My favorite game in the series would have to be Wario Land 3.

Did it annoy anyone else here that, aside from a miserable sticker and the equally unmemorable Chronicles, the series was completely ignored on Brawl?
YES. Absolutely nothing in his moveset was brought over from Wario Land. (The shoulder charge doesn't count, since it was in Wario World, which is where they got some other moves from) Combining the spring transformation with the corkscrew would've made for a good Up Special, for example.

And don't get me started on the "Wario Waft" and how it's pretty much defined Wario's character in the eyes of fans (and Miyamoto).

Eh, not really. Then again, the only game in the series I've actually played to completion is Wario Land 3, so I'm not exactly the biggest fan around.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.

Very much so. Since I was utterly unfamiliar with the Wario Ware games and assumed they would be a short-lived fad I was wondering "What's with this move set? What's with the motorcycle? What's with the outfit!? Where's his old overalls!? Why isn't his shoulder attack is standard B? WHAT'S GOING ON!?"

Playing Brawl really got me interested in Wario, and I quite like his games. They're very unique.

I like Wario Ware, but I am a sucker for platformers, and I admit that I find the Wario Land series more enjoyable than the 2D Mario Platformers. That's why I hope the 3DS will feature both a Wario Land and a Wario Ware game.

How were Wario World and Master of Disguise in terms of quality? I didn't have an interest in buying the latter, but I own the original, 3, 4, and Shake It!, so I was wondering how those two titles measured up to the rest of the Wario Land series.

[up] I don't own Master of Disguise, but I do own Wario World. It doesn't quite live up to the standards of Wario Land or Wario Ware, not to mention that a lot of the enemies tend to be Underground Monkey versions of the others. There's no reactions from getting hit by enemy attacks either. On the other hand, enemies and enviroments tend to be just as weird and nonsensical as the usual Wario Land games, music's good, and Wario's probably at his most Badass in this game, sporting many moves that help him take down any enemy, and flinging bosses around or piledriving them is fun. All in all, I think Wario World is worth a play.

At the very least, it should be pretty cheap after all these years, so I couldn't really go wrong.

I heard that it's not up to snuff with Treasure's other games, though.

I've only really played Wario World in terms of his solo games, but it was a blast. Wario shoves his pointy boot so far up the Evil Black Jewel's ass it actually cries, then, provided you've collected all the goodies and freed all the Spritelings, gets his castle back, intact.

As for Brawl, I simply refuse to play as Wario in anything other than purple overalls, yellow shirt. It's not his default costume, but anything else doesn't feel right.

SRSLY? That sounds hilariousy brutal.

I'm glad that they decided to include both outfits for Brawl, but having grown up on Wario Land, I can see where you've coming from.

As far as the platformers go, I've only played Wario Land 4, but it is great. The escape sequences in particular I find fun, especially as the level changes up or makes you go through new areas.

Not so much for Crescent Moon Village, though. Stupid ghost pirate...

Heheh! I digged the escape sequences in Wario Land 4 as well. Probably because of the awesome music that played during them!

And I'm also glad that Sakurai decided to include Wario's overalls as a costume since that's how I mainly see him.

I prefer Wario Land 4's "Hurry Up!" a little more.

Wario Land Shake It's music in general was awesome.

It's Hurry Up music was fan-freaking-tastic.

Has anyone else noticed that the Wario series tend to feel more... japanese than the Mario series, or is it just me?
