Yeah, I remember those old ass vanilla cards in games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories.
At least we got all those Level 4 Dinosaur normals before the Evolzaurs came out.
It'd be neat if more extremely specific Xyz material options are released as an excuse to get them in the TCG. There's quite a few that can go into Toadally Awesome, so I'd rather see those released soon and Rabbit bumped up to 2 than people not even bother with that method or using decks that are fairly good at Level 2 Aqua Xyz'ing like Frogs instead of Bahamut Shark only.
There's a card named Toadally Awesome?
There's a card named Toadally Awesome, that would've been great in my Ice Barrier deck if only DN hadn't been shut down?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyJust use Ygopro instead. Works just as well. I think the online isn't nearly as easy to go with, but it otherwise is fine. It gets updated fast too. I will admit that DN's only real advantage(besides choosing different card designs, well, more than Ygopro has) is that you can play by unique rules at best. If you're trying to play by proper rules, it's not an issue. If you're not, well... yeah.
and you know, even if the community is total toxic waste on both networks, on DevPro at least your game isn't affected.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.I'm just bummed there's no effective way to test/play with custom/not released cards now. Like on DN you could play proxy cards and inform a friend you are dueling with of what the proxy is supposed to be.
Can't do that on the Pros. Only way to do it now is RNG for draws and do it via text. Which works but it is so much easier to keep track of stuff when you have a visual medium to do so.
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValThe Pros's have far more automated actions, so it's actually harder to playtest custom cards too. :/ That's the biggest issue I find.
You can replace any card's picture on YGO Pro's files and it won't affect your gameplay at all.
Who here is on which platforms?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou can also set decks to not shuffle and stack it if you wanna duel against the AI... though that's a lot more prep work. And at least in Dev Pro's case, relies on an AI that doesn't break instantly when it's actually available.
Mainly Dev, but I have Percy, as well.

I'm not bothered that much by the images(and I'm not using extra space on my computer for a few more images. Good to know, though), but not being able to set up your own game rules at all is a downside for the other two. That said, it still is a great program and works pretty well for me anyway. Hell, I've topdecked the perfect card more than once. It's fun. But yeah, not having a specific set of rules you have to do was the real fun of DN. You could do Battle City entirely(that means activating normal spells on your opponent's turn), etc.
While there's anime versions of cards available on Ygopro, which is sweet, pretty sure it has preset rules that aren't changeable. I don't mean the deck-stacking thing. That's basically manipulating luck at best, or purposely showing off an epic duel for others. It's all pre-planned(this type of stuff happens when showing off decks at Worlds too, like the Character Decks), but it's having unique rules like no tributes that I can't find available for Ygopro. If I'm wrong, please explain to me how to do so. I'd love to have that option.
Apparently Frog the Jam is getting his name changed.
I want it to be to TOAD JAMMIN'!
Make it Toad The Croak. Totally fits. Or purposely misspell it. Frawg the Jam, for instance.
I play on Dev Pro, but I don't really play unless under suggestion to do so.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.I like playing on Devpro. It the easiest way to test current decks. Also has anyone tested The Eidolon stuff?
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanThey're nasty but not OP — a friend of mine built them.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundHoly crap. Literally yesterday I was thinking about Toadslime getting his name changed.
I really want to make this Eidolon deck now. What engine should I run with it?
Kaijus tend to work well with it.
I been running Shaddolls/Lightsworn/One Gem-knight and one brilliant. It still bricky. But I'm ironing out the list.

They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanSo...
- Frog the Jam -> Slime Toad
- Kinetic Soldier -> Cipher Soldier
- Red-Eyes Black Chick -> Black Dragon's Chick
All of these were done due to relevant support coming out in INOV.
I don't know why it took this long for Black Dragon's Chick rename. The other 2 I get, since it took a really long time for their names to be relevant again.
There's a lot that could be release/re-released just to be usable with Rescue Rabbit to summon Toadally Awesome alone. I'm still waiting for Vishwar Randi to come out. I was glad to see that Zombie Warrior finally got released in the TCG. I needed it to finish a TCG-based Zelda deck.
