My (unfinished) deck is a combination Ancient Gear/Cyber Dragon.

Scar-Right -> Scar-Light
This one wasn't a name change, both options are スカーライト.

Well when you think about it, Scar-Light sounds like Scarlet. So Scarlet Red Dragon Archfiend.

It's the same thing as Serena getting changed to Selena. The whole R > L thing.

You know seeing this new Buster Blader support makes me wonder if it can take on Dragon Rulers in their prime and potentially win.

That depends if the Buster Blader deck can quickly lock them down. The Fusion is basically an anti-dragon version of Majesty's Fiend, meaning the opponent's dragons can't activate their effects ANYWHERE, whether it be in the hand, field, grave or banished zone (I'm surprised there isn't an actual official term for that zone), and since the D-Rulers special summons are parts of their effects, D-Rulers can't even hit the field, except by tribute summon, and good luck with that.

Dragon Rulers' advantage is their speed and inability to stay dead. But once Buster and the Destruction Swords (especially the anti-grave and anti-extra) hit the field, they're totally shut down and easy pickings.

So it depends. It's a matter of if the D-Rulers crush the Slayer fast enough. Also, the D-Rulers can't afford to stay on the field, lest they be used as fodder for the Fusion summon, and since the Fusion spell is a Quick-Play...

A Malefic Control deck vs my Kozmos.

I must say, the new Kozmos are fun to use. Well, Kozmoll in the case of Wickedwitch. I have to wonder if there's gonna be a Palpatine card.

I don't really have much to offer beyond this at the moment, but I figured you guys that frequent this thread would get a kick out of this. From the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki, under tips for Larvae Moth:

If you successfully Summon this card, your opponent might forfeit out of sheer incredulity.

I'm looking into the game again, I haven't done much since the earlier days of Synchros... so if I wind up getting dragged back into the game then I'll probably pop by more often.

Another Solemn counter trap that can be a divine wrath or a Black Horn of Heaven with a measly 1500 life point cost.

I'm not sure if the wording implies it only stops Inherent Summons, or if it covers everything Warning does, too. Hopefully closer to the former, because otherwise JESUS CHRIST.

People seem to think it will be used against pendulms cool

Solem Warning can negate effects that special summon, Solemn Notice can only negate inherent summons.

Solemn notice being a better solemn warning would be a bad sign of power creep. But I'm sure it's only inherent summons; that's why I compared it to Black Horn.

Also, the wording to negating monster summons should be reworded because some counter traps can negate the Pendulum summon of multiple monsters in spite of saying "a monster." Then again, Cyber Dragon can be special summoned if the opponent controls "a monster" or multiple monsters. The game is pretty weird at times...

It can only negate inherent summons, yes.

My question is does it destroy the scales as well?

I don't think so. You see, it destroyed the monster(s) whose summon was negated. The scales aren't that monster.

More Kozmo stuff.

C 3 PO is...a really damn powerful card. Bring out Dark Destroyer for 500, float into Forerunner.

Damn.

Edit - keeping with the Kozmo theme, my Kozmo Star Wars deck vs. Hero-Infernity. Admittedly, he did half the work for me. A Hero Lives has a steep cost.

And Kozmo gets another card, DOG Fighter this time.

It is a level 6 DARK Machine and during each standby phase, it produces a Token that is basically a copy of it.

Clear field, this guy. Standby phase, make a token. Limiter Removal. GG.
