Lol. I have a feeling many of the people on DN are over 17, though.

Really dude? Really?

Some new cards.

There's an Odd Eyes synchro monster, and it looks pretty solid. Other pendulum support in the structure deck looks good, too.

Number S0 also looks very good, but I wonder how many people will actually use it.

There's the end boss of the ZEXAL manga, too.

Utopic Z: what in the actual fuck

Unrelated to this latest round of Konami horseshit (yes, "horseshit" is my word of the day), I went for a walk, and during it, figured out a way to possibly make sure I'm actually having fun on DN, in the flood of unoriginal or broken archetypes:
When I host a duel looking for original decks, if my opponent doesn't use one and bores me with some cookie cutter stuff, I'm going to explain as such, and just quit and start looking a new. I don't care if I win or lose against opponents who are actually fun to duel against. I just want to have fun, not to waste my time against the same old. Maybe I'm being an extraordinary rage quitter, I don't know.

Clownsworn vs. That Blue-Eyes Deck Everyone Is Using.

More Clownsworn.

With the official reveal of Red-Eyes Tracer Dragon's effect, that concludes the Red-Eyes support

...for now

Not exactly the effect I was expecting, but it's decent, especially in combination with Protector.

Question: if Black Dragon Archfiend's effect activates, and then a revival card like Return or Silver's Cry is chained to it, targeting the targeted monster, does BDA's burn effect not resolve?

What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.

Hooray for more Accel Synchro monsters.

More new cards, with some from the upcoming pack. And odd eyes now has a wind dragon. Only an earth dragon is left.

It better be a Ritual. That or a Normal monster (which isn't likely).

I tried to convince one of my friends that missing the timing is a thing in the game, and he doesn't believe me. He says that someone probably made that up since it's not in the rulebook, and while that's not a bad point, pretty much any site, tournament, or whatever would still say that missing the timing exists, which I also pointed out. I did try saying one definition of "when" which would be "at the moment something happens", and he's still not completely sold. What else can I try?

The official video games also have the "missing the timing" rule, so if they play those, they'll probably come across a scenario with it eventually.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Water Deck vs. Water Deck, no meta.

Aqua Actresses can reach some shocking attack power values.

In one duel, Arowana reached 6800 while battling Number 99.

Also, proof Frightfur Bear wins games.

And here is Clownsworn vs. Wind-Up. That moment when you actually use Damajuggler's first effect.

This is exactly the kind of situation I'm happy to weed out. It doesn't matter if you're using an archetype deck that's not top meta, when I say original, I mean original. For example, my deck may use a couple of archetype cards (1/4 of the deck), but the end combos and situations are strategies that aren't handed to us on a cookie cutter platter by Konami.

So, for clarification, the best way to play is to NEVER play an archetype, no? Bugger. Guess I'd best go throw... well, all my cards in the trash.

(I'm pretty much the hipster at my locals for decks but I play Heraldic Beasts, T.G., Watt, Gishki and formerly Malefic, so ya know.)

No, not at all.

I don't mind playing archetypes, and do have several archetype based decks, but I do want something different now and then. So, if I ask for "original" decks, which most duels I host nowadays do, I'd like to see something that's actually "original". My Black Garden decks and Savage Colosseum deck were based around combos that I thought up, not that Konami intended for. Things like that.

Other times, I would like to see how my Harpie/Fragrance/Simorgh deck fares against Ojamas (due to the Harpie field spell suggesting Harpies prey on Ojamas), or I'd like to see how my Vampires fare against older style Necrovalley or Lightsworns.

It's the mentality of the duelist in the first link, that "no one comes up with anything original", that I'm trying to avoid. I do, and others, such as the duelist in the second link, pre-rage quit, do. I like to see some creativity.

Speaking of which, I dueled an old friend for the first time in a while. He had a little bit of knowledge about my Berserk Fury deck. Neither of use knew that the other's deck contained Yubel, but only his Yubel was useful to him, as mine was just Dark World Dealings fodder.

What happened was a dramatic turnaround. This is how the duel ended. Two turns prior, I was down 9800 to 2400, staring down a Yubel the Ultimate Nightmare. I rammed my Archfiend Cavalry into it, taking me down to 100 life points momentarily, then back up to 400. Revived an Archfiend Emperor, which I used to destroy his monster. My next turn, I used it (and a Trance Archfiend) as tribute fodder to bring out Legendary Maju Garzett and Berserk Dragon, bringing him down to 1500 LP, me up to 1000, and forcing him to attack a monster with 3000 ATK at the lowest, if he had anything that could be summoned, otherwise I'd win on the next turn with piercing damage.
