Gurensaurus is Rank 3. Gilasaurus is Level 3. It's almost like they want you to find a way to drop one of these things on the first turn.
heehee gilasaurus
I'm hoping for some Rank Sevens/Rank Eights. I heart Karakuri.
Seven? Eight? Screw that, I want to see some tens and twelves, dude! Of course, that would give dragon decks a pretty ridiculous advantage.
Add me on Skype: Al Cook (darnpenguin)Also: hey, I found this cool thing called Chatzy, which allows instant duels. If anyone wants a game, I'd be up for it!
Anyway: screwing around with my Karakuri Machina Plants feat. build. Decklist's here. I think it's pretty cool, but some may disagree.
Judgment Dragon down to one? I are sad now.
Troper PageFavourite is, hands down, the Yubel Deck I have used for the longest time. Summon and upgrade within 3 turns, rinse and repeat if ever destroyed

Man, I liked six samurai before they became flavor of the month thanks to Legendary, and now everyone hates me for using them.

Okay. So, today at Comic-Con, I caved and got some cards. Mainly, I got the "Lost Sanctuary" deck, a Gold Series 3 pack, and two of the new booster set.
I almost feel ashamed for going back to my childhood money sink.
Fanfiction I hate.I mostly play online anymore, and most likely will continue to do so until I get a job and can afford deadtree cards.
Anyone else play on the Kaiba Corp Duel Simulator?
hmm, that's a tough one. For the old school stuff, I'd have to say Cyber Jar. Slightly newer, I love The Blast Magician, not a terribly powerful card, but still awesome. And for new, new stuff, I really want a Leviathan Dragon.
love: Deck Outs, I used to do these all the time in Ye Olden Days before most of the cards useful for such a thing were either banned or limited. I'm also fond of Spell Counter Decks and the Alien Archetype, though I suck with the latter. I also had a rather elaborate setup based around having several "Wave Motion Cannon" and "Tower of Babel"s, though that usually crosses over with the Spell Counter thing.
hate: Beatdown Decks in general, I mean, they work, and hell I've used them, but they just seem so simple. :/

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I don't play in real life but I own the most recent DS game.
In that I like to run a Spellcaster deck that focuses on using Hidden Valley of the Spell Casters, Royal Decree and Magician's Valkyria to stall until I get the oppurtunity to flood the field with Dark Magician Girls and Dark Magicians.
I also love Heroes, any kind really.

Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexTrue story: over the summer, I set off on a little summer project, that is, to make a 100X100 icon of every Monster card in the game, in the order they were produced. And I did it. You can see the results at my LJ, and you can take whatever icons you want!
Hey, I haven't played for like 5 years but my deck was a warrior deck with Gilford the Lighting as the main card
What is the game like now?
Dutch LesbianWell, warriors are still a solid choice. They've been worked into the ultimate beginner deck now, with easy-to-understand special summoning, damage and protection effects that make them useful in generic Synchro/Xyz decks.
Add me on Skype: Al Cook (darnpenguin)@Saiga: Chaos Emperor Dragon may be banned, but there's more fun cards anyway. So, when you've got the time, search through the wikia for cards/archetypes that look cool, find a common thread, and try to build a new deck. Think of this as an opportunity to shake off Complacent Gamer Syndrome.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI just like the idea of Chaos in general... but they DO have two Chaos ritual monsters that aren't banned, so they could go in my ritual deck.
Against my better judgment, I should let you know that Chaos Sorcerer has been removed from the banned list for a while, and BLS - Envoy of the Beginning was removed last month.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWhile Yugioh is not my favorite TCG (that would be the Pokemon one) I have played it many times, mostly because of my nephew Jean, who is a REAL Yugi fanatic, and a monster player to boot. Good thing I don't mind losing. Last night I tried the Dueling Network for the first time, he pulled out an 8 Star Fusion in the first turn! Later on (in a separate duel) he summoned the Five Headed Dragon on me- yeah game over right there.
(For the record, I HAVE beaten him on occasion, but it has been as much a surprise for me as for him.)
BTW I like the Network except that it froze on me (not for him) on the second duel, not sure if it was the website or my PC.
I also liked he Yugioh Anime (Yami Yugi is one of my favorite Anime characters.) The sequels, not so much.
I'm currently trying to make a deck for the DN that will allow me to challenge Jean while still meeting my personal playing quirks- Effect Monsters only, No Fusions, No Trap Cards, Instant Magic Cards only. His preferences are "pull out my biggest monster ASAP". He also loves Jinzos which is why I don't bother with Trap Cards often.

My current favorite Deck is Genfish. It isn't really an archetype, just a bunch of monsters that work well together.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."I did the funniest thing in my last Dueling Network gaming session with my nephew Jean. I used the card that causes both players to remove all monsters in their deck and graveyards out of the game! I did it for the Lo Lz, I didn't care if I won or not (he still managed to win since he had a monster in his hand) I just knew he'd hate to lose all of his well-planned tributes.
I have made two decks so far: one is the "whatever I find interesting" one (that one had the card I mentioned above) and the other is a Hero deck. I really like these characters, has an anime or comic based on them (not just as cards) ever been made? Anyway I'm trying to make this one an actually competent deck, but avoiding Fusions (there's some great ones, but summoning them is a pain to me. Most "special" monsters (Tuners, XYZ etc.) are too much trouble for my taste. Especially since Jean keeps disrupting my attempts to summon them.)
I try to avoid monster cards that are intended to be archetypes, though rare examples slip through. I don't see Umi as being the same kind of archetype as the Heroes (WHICH SHOULD'VE BEEN A TYPE! THEY DON'T NEED MORE WARRIOR SUPPORT!) or Aliens or such. For both of mine, I started with a few cards that seemed interesting, then tried to find a common thread or something they could synergize well with, and make a good deck out of them.
I don't intend to tell what kind of deck one of mine is until my opponent's picked up on it. There's certain cards that I'm trying to see how effective they'd be or if I can side them, but doing a test against an unaware opponent would help.
What card was that?

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
They define splashable.
Whether they're going to be splashable-but-weak or strong has yet to be seen. This first wave isn't exactly great.
