So. Where to start. This is a snowclone title, launched apparently without a YKTTW (though a YKTTW bears that name for a trope that matches the other BF_ tropes). Furthermore, the formatting is nonexistent.

It is a trope, though, so unless we have it already, it needs a cut, YKTTW and new name.

Does look like that would be the best way to handle it. A snowcloned name on a trope that's completely unrelated to the other names in the snowclone group is a really bad idea.

I don't think we should allow any more BF_ tropes to exist, because that last letter can stand for any number of different things. What if the C stand for both Castle and Cake?

^Well, as I said, someone had proposed a BFC in YKTTW. The "C" stood for "club," though we have that one, apparently.

But yeah, those titles could get bad if unchecked. S could stand for "spear" or "sword."

Or Canon which would make far more sense seeing as the others are weapon tropes.

The other two are weapon tropes, BFC should not stand for castle. Cut it like a dork's hair by his mother.

Edit: [down] You're correct, there's also bombs. But it's still a weapon trope and a fourth one without any similarities to that is unnecessary. I do think that we can have a trope for big castles, but give it a different name.

I originally thought canon as well.

Don't we already have a castle trope of some kind? Off to google.

Yeah. It needs a cut, but that's not cool either.

Just because something needs a cut isn't an excuse for page blanking especially before we can move it to the YKTTW or see if we have the trope some place else already. I think it's a trope. Just... badly done and with a horrid name.

Yeah, cut and re-ykttw seems like the best idea.

Sorry about that... Brunjo the Mighty, who created this page, just signed up, is entirely unaware of the rules of the site, what a YKTTW is, or otherwise. Probably won't notice this any time soon either (and yeah, I know him IRL...). Sorry about blanking it. Not the most familiar in editing myself, but probably not in the best taste. Sorry.

Edit: Still needs some serious editing if not deletion.

So.. They dislike the name (I will look into naming it "bowzer's castle" with super Mario bros as the trope namer) and there just going to let it exist once it gets fixed up a bit

I guarantee there will be a hue and cry of "character named tropes are bad" if you do that.

Partially because it's no where near as illustrative as just calling it "Big Fancy Castle". That is a fine trope name. Abbreviating it is not.

Wouldn't Cool Castle be a better fit for a name?

I wouldnt mind seeing a Cool Castle split off from Big Fancy House or Cool House (the latter I have major issues with the formatting.)

Well, seeing as the fact that it's huge is more important to the trope than it being cool the name isn't very descriptive. A castle can be both cool and small. This is about castles that are enormous.

Big Fancy Castle has a nice ring to it ... and can still be abbreviated as a BF acronym.

Once it gets enough use, I still say it shouldn't be abbreviated. I dislike BFS and BFG.
