How is it not?
"This game COULD be the next Final Fantasy game! What do you want to see in the next Final Fantasy game?!"
"Oh, this picture of Lightning COULD be Final Fantasy XIII-2! Could THIS be the game announced by this trademark!? What do YOU want to see in a sequel!?"
If you can't understand that, I'm sorry to say, you're part of the reason this perpetuates.
Darn it, every time I see this title, I think 'Treasure Type O'.
I have a message from another time...I didn't read the second article, but all the first one said was "there's a name and a picture copyrighted, maybe they're planning a spinoff".
And while writing an article based excessively on speculation is a stupid idea, objectively it is not the same as making things up.
And you should feel horrible for using any variant of the phrase "you're a part of the problem".

"But that's just a remake."
If you consider revamping the battle system, adding content that was cut from the original, and streamlining the entire experience to be "just" a remake; sure.
Umbran Climax◊A Final Fantasy E-game!
And other Wild Mass Guessing?
How about a Final Fantasy / Professor Layton crossover? Yes! It could work!
Jonah FalconI just wish they'd mahe a Final Fantasy ARPG. I'd play the shit outta that.
Likes many underrated webcomicsCrystal Chronicles, Crisis Core, Final Fantasy Adventure, Versus XIII...
So it's actually what they renamed Final Fantasy Agito XIII to

It looks pretty awesome.
Umbran Climax◊I thought it was stated a the 1st Department Conference that Agito XIII is now called Type-0 because they felt it didn't really connect to XIII mythology?
EDIT: Ninja'd ... I need glasses
On the + Side; apparently Tabata did a good job directing for 3rd Birthday (despite the story), and this game is pretty damn huge, so I definitely look forward to it <3

Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Last I checked, there was an army made of l'cie, though, so it's either going to have Serial Numbers Filed Off or share an unusual amount of concepts with a game it's not officially connected to

THEY KILLED BAHAMUT!
I am dangerously cheesy excited for this now. Seems like it plays similar to Crisis Core (honestly, I was pretty much thinking Teen!Organization XIII or Persona meets Crisis Core the entire time while watching). If the plot happens to be the Final Fantasy version of a War movie, I'd be happy as well. There seems to be an Ensemble Cast, which is awesome too. I also like that the characters, who seem to be in the faction with the Vermillion Bird motif, also seemed to rise from the ashes at the end. The music used in the video was pretty awesome too (especially the Prelude arrangement), but I suppose that's expected.
The way it looks... I'm kind of thinking there will be a multiplayer aspect similar to the Phantasy Star Online/Monster Hunter series... Or something. And actually turning into the summons looks promising.
And now I'm looking forward to all three of the Fabula Nova Crystallis games.

How many FF games exist at this moment???
Too many to count if we include spin-offs.
Umbran Climax◊Interesting... I wonder how customizable the characters will be since we seem to be able to control any of them at any given time...
I also noticed blood on the guy's leg in one of the screenshots. I keep forgetting that this is part of the Bloodier and Gorier set of games.
Interesting. Suppose it makes sense to put most of the emphasis on equipment and modular abilities when you have fourteen characters
The scan shows some of the playable characters, oh and the Team Pet is a Tonberry.
GOH! JII! RAH!Finally, I was tired pf having to kill them off so much.

New screens showing how Ace fights(Queen and Nine are also featured): http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=26684853&postcount=1
Interestingly. The last screen shows enemy soldiers surrendering during a fight, but they are still target-able(meaning you can probably be an ass and still kill them anyway). You can also interrogate them
