I didn't know there was a Dubstep Forum. I knew there were dubstep forums, but not one with the name "Dubstep Forum."
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Looks plain, but it's exhaustive, and has a lot of high profile artists.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I tend to always get crap for this IRL, so I guess I'll see if the reactions are as angry online: "Dumb" by Nirvana. I like the song, as well as a few others. but for reasons I won't explain unless someone angrily demands why, I don't like Nirvana.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.- Angrily ask's why*

The smartest idiot you will ever meet. Not that I find it odd to dislike Nirvana, but I do find it curious that you say you dislike them while admitting to liking several of their songs in the way that you describe. I can't put my finger on it, but it screams "cognitive dissonance."
Ergo, explain.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.YOU GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO, GIGGLES
no one will notice that I changed thisSpeaking as a Nirvana fan, I realize that they're not quite as good as some of the other bands of the time like Soundgarden or Alice in Chains (and I'm probably one of the few fans who'll admit that Dave's a much better singer than Kurt ever was), but they're still pretty decent, and their better songs are classics for a reason.
[shrugs] To each, his own.
On another note, I don't hate any of the music I like, if that makes sense. There's just some songs that I know suck but still like them anyway, like this one:

Aint nothin' to be ashamed of.

A lie was told...I like "Man Research" too. I think the average Gorillaz fan doesn't like it because the only way they could make it stick out like a sore thumb in their entire body of work even more is make it a metal song.
Sorry I never responded to any of you guys, I completely forgot about making that post. First off, I don't like "several" of their songs, maybe three at most. And I don't like them because for the most part, their sound and lyrics don't appeal to me, mainly because a lot of their songs are Kurt Cobain mumbling metaphors that everyone claims are "genius". Bringing me to my next point, the fact that everyone acts like he pooped 24carat gold doesn't help.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.So, part "not my kind of music" and part Hype Backlash?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Basically.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.100% understandable.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I actually like 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. It's the internet version of Stockholm Syndrome.
Also, I hate Glam Metal. I hate the aesthetic and image attached to it, I hate the attitude of the people who make it and of most people who listen to it, I hate the fact that many people think of it (rather than of Jimi Hendrix, the Doors or Deep Purple) when you say "classic rock"...
...and still, there are some Van Halen songs, as well as Judas Priest songs from their glam period, which I can't help but like.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...I really like that song Toxic by Britney Spears, I think it's pretty catchy and the music video is kind of cool in a cheesy way. There's a few songs by madonna too(La Isla Bonita, Vogue and that James Bond song wich I'm even more ashamed because everyone seems to hate it).
I don't really hate these two artists or think they are dumb pop or anything but it's certainly not the kind of music I mostly listen to so if someone found out that I like those I'd hate them to think that it's the kind of music that I like.
:)Memories by kid cudi. It has the most brainless lyrics imaginable, but too dancey and catchy to hate. The same with most electronic dance pop.
Toxic was great, no kidding.
╮(╯_╰)╭Trance music is one genre I never thought I'd be into. Then, I met someone who's a big fan of it, and she gives me some songs she really likes from the genre. Turns out I've heard and loved half this music already, as so many of them were radio hits when I was growing up that I'd forgotten about or never knew the name/artist of.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Country Girl (Shake It for Me) by Luke Bryan. It's a dumb song targeted mainly to females, and it's one of those Stuffy Old Songs About the Buttocks.
But how can I hate something so catchy, and in Dorian mode no less? Really, how many mainstream songs are in Dorian?
(And really, Luke must know his stuff, as its followup is in Lydian.)
"6 Foot 7 Foot" by Lil Wayne. Weezy is annoying on most tracks, but he's pretty solid on it.
https://soundcloud.com/rich-justice-hinmen Too white for the black kids, too white for the white kids.I love Dorian mode.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well. Not as awesome as Phrygian though.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...The Sun Always Shines On TV, by a-ha. Mediocre 80's synthpop with a creepyass video, I find it so damn appealing for some reason.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Alan Jackson's "Country Boy" is also in Dorian. However, I think the song sucks otherwise to the point that not even being in Dorian can save it. Which is odd, since "sucks" is not usually a word I can describe an Alan Jackson song with.

Borgore: When I started producing music, the Dubstep Forum was very supportive of me, the feedback was amazing and every post was filled with endless messages full of positive vibes from people. Then one day it got all switched for some reason. They said on the forum that I've somehow ruined dubstep; I thought it’s a great title. It isn’t easy to ruin a genre, right?
