[up] Ha ha, don't feel bad, in my first and as for now only playthrough of Abyss I totally ignored the Capacity Cores, didn't know (or maybe I did) that 90% of your AD Skills are tied to the bonus stats granted by them. That's how you teach Jade the game-breaking Glory and stomp everything. I'll try not to miss them on the Innocence playthough I have on hold.

Thanks. :'D

You mean that Capacity Cores have a hand in learning new AD Skills? This has to be one of the more complex Tales games.

Tales of Innocence has CCs, too?

Basically, if you go to the status screen for a character, and go down to their stat page, you'll notice a certain set of numbers next to a stat, saying +x. That indicates how much the Capacity core boosts that stat for each level up, and when you the core provides enough of a boost, certain Ad Skills are learned. Some Ad Skills are based on just raw level though, such as Overlimit and Special, gained at level 15 and 30 respectively, if I remember right.

Waitwaitwaitwait.

You don't have to keep Fon Slot Core equipped to keep the ability change? That goes against everything I know about the system?

And yes, abilities gained from using Capacity Cores are awesome. Luke with Glory is a beast.

Jade with Glory can solo the world.

No, you need to keep a Fon Slot Chamber on the arte to keep the affect when using the art. You just don't need to keep it on to keep the FSC or the levels of that FSC gained by the arte. So if Fang Blade has a Carmine Chamber at level 3 for the arte, then you could replace it with a Sunlight Chamber, decide that isn't helpful, and switch back to a Carmine Chamber and start at level 3 for that arte.

Yeah, you can swap FSCs between artes, but you need to keep the corresponding FSC equipped if you want to keep an enhancement on a particular arte. Make sense? :S

I know there's already a (very solid) version of this out there, but I think this deserves a special mention. It's pretty cool to see this patch finally be available.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead

[up] Tales of Destiny Remake should be next. Even if I already played through the original on PS 1.

On the other hand, I am finally resuming my Innocence playthough. Finished the watery tomb section. The dungeons are as bad as I remember. Long, identical corridors with lots of enemies, no space to try evade them and no landmarks or puzzles to spice things up. Wait... Deja Vu?

Oh god. OH GOD NO. I don't want to believe it...

That One Level! It's WALLBRIDGE all over again! NOOOORGGHL...! *faints*

(Come on... need more Level Grinding... grinding with such great battle system will make the pain go away... once more.)

If I ha that version of the game, I'd definitely get the patch.

Anything has to be better than "Kangaroo".

The Innocence adventures keep on going. Finished the volcano section. The monsters were kicking my ass HARD... with the B Team (Ange, Hermana and Ricardo) With the A Team of Luca, Iria and Spada things were smoothier, but I need to use them all equally because well, the previous dungeon's boss already used Mystic Artes. And in this game those are learned leveling up Styles. And these do NOT level up on Leaked Experience. So, moar grinding.

I wish someone would make a Tales parody of Touhou because I think Cheria would belong way too well in that universe.
She's basically Sakuya, isn't she? She's a maid, and the knives, and the time stopping...

[up] Yep, you would have to be blind to see her Mystic Artes and do not think ZA WARUDO.

The Innocence grinding is going well. Reached to Galpos guild dungeon to level up my Styles. Now tripping through the jungle. These dungeons are a torture, but one I love to endure.

EDIT: Beat Chien at the jungle. Wait... wait WAIT. Let me get this straight: Dog Boy was born alongside his canine partners from the same human woman's womb. At the same time. GROSS.

[down] Well, if you have read my posts on the last page you'd know that I am a sucker for Loads And Loads Of Characters, but he would have been too similar to Hermana. You know, bare handed fighters. Anyway, I also got past That One Boss duo on the ship. Finally got the Innocent Style for my main three. To Tenos!

[down][down] If you mean After the End, then yes, I totally ship Guy and Natalia. And indeed, Abyss is known for his dragged on and full-of-backtracking Third Act.

[up]Chien should have totally joined the party, just instead of allowing the dogs to roam freely, he should dual wield them as biting weapons.

Have you tried versus style? most try to use it just on the second playthrough but I think midway through the game it can be quickly trained in the random enconter's, and you'll need the experience bonus...

Whoa dudes. At 25 hours of game time, level 40, Awakening bar at 60%... I finally learned to use the Infinite Jam correctly. After going past the swamp my guys were tearing through soldiers like they were made of cardboard. And Hasta (this one has to give people Zagi related Deja Vues, I am sure) ate TWO servings each of Infernal Overlord and Sundering Light, one of Ruined Vain Wish AND one long, hard Infinite Jam and still was kicking and giving me a bit of trouble...

... he died shortly after. Man, revenge is sweet.

EDIT: Just got the Global Airship, but had to kick that pesky Albert's ass to use it. He died off screen, maybe to Iria's stray shots or something. I was too much focused on that bitch of his partner. Stay put so I can kill you, dammit!

That's why Albert sent Ricardo to capture Ange: He is her bane in a battle. Certainly much better match-up than Spada. Bang-bang-bang-Snipe Force-Graveshot-PLOP. That was the sound of her lardaceous boobs hitting the floor.

A little anecdote to bump to the topic back up:

My goal is level 50 before I get deeper into Sky Castle. I didn't realize that the mobs in Tenos Munition Factory are way easier and give 90% exp of the ones tearing me a new one on the castle itself. LOL Fail. Well, finally got all Mystics.

Mmm. *checks* What do you mean the Sky Castle is the second to last dungeon? Oh well... for 30+ hours this is no Graces, but at least it is no Tempest either. Also, if you want to do NG+ you better grind your ass doing Guild Quests to farm grade. Ok, 'grind' is this game's middle name.

Pandora's Tower got announced for the US. Yay, I guess.

EDIT: Whoa whoa, Infodump Festival at the end of Sky Castle. So that is what happened between the two suppossed lovebirds. OK, long spoiler. Innana was sent by the Ratio, Sensus' enemies, to kill Asura using Durandal. They wanted to leave the fallen Devalokans (now humans) to rot in the earth down below (Naraka) forever, while Asura and the Sensus wanted to reunite the two races and their worlds. Asura took the Manifest from Cerberus, but got told that to use it he had to sacrifice the one he loved. The day when Innana finally tried to stab him he broke a piece of Durandal to stab her back. Then they wished for their respective goals, and the Manifest activated because both had killed their loved ones: Innana wanted separation from humans, and Asura reuniting with them. BOTH got granted. That's why Devaloka came crashing down on earth (reuniting) but the Devic race transformed into humans (so both races would never meet again) Yes, even living weapons and ancient dragons...

[down] If what I have been told is true Shirley is ten times the bitch that Norma is. You know, the kind that thinks ends justify the means. Senel dumped me? Well, now I'm gonna kill his entire species for the evulz. Of course my opinion on her may change when I finally go through Legendia.

Legendia wasn't created by the normal team and the battle system was made by the Soul Calibur team. There are some very interesting ideas in the story and it's not a bad game, it's just not up to the normal standard.

Also the English version has no voice acting for the second half of the game, which is somewhat jarring.
