Slowly getting back into music comp. Did a cover of the Loader bot theme from Rise Of The Robots.
Original SNES Ver. Original Genesis Ver.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either. It's okay. Everything sounds really synthesized and following the original to a T, almost like it's just a MIDI cover with singing on top of it. I dunno, I've never really had a fondness for MIDI covers and I've never really liked covers that try to follow the original exactly, so those are both a mark against it for me personally, and I might be reacting a bit more adversely because the original song is one song that I listen to a LOT and know almost inside and out.
I do like the parts where you harmonize with yourself, though. Your singing there takes on an almost They Might Be Giants-ish quality there, which works well for your voice.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I've noticed that my voice actually sounds better when it's a bit nasal. And you are right about following the original arrangement a little closely, but that's basically because I couldn't think of much in the way of alterations that would improve it. As for the rather unorganic MIDI sound, I chalk that up to 1) having to compose everything manually because I don't have a keyboard and I can't play guitar, and 2) still being a little hesitant about installing new instrument files.

Fair enough. It's not bad, just, I dunno, a bit uninteresting to me. I like your singing and would be interested to hear more from you, just maybe not in this form Getting a keyboard might help a little bit if you can find one and can afford it.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."It got unpinned in the incident last week. Took a while before they got around to fixing it.

It's odd, just a heads up.
So, here is my a capella cover of Kryptonite by Three Doors Down. I'd love some feedback.

I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring? Not bad. Sounded like some notes were off, but I can't be sure, not knowing the song and all.
I did the Dubstep thing again.
Hey, it's been a while. I just finished this:

I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring? Here's my version of ''You Must Love Me" from Evita I actually think the weak, tired sound of my voice here worked well— Eva is dying when Madonna sings this and the song is all about how PerĂ³n must love her if he's still sticking by her when she's dying and is pretty much useless to him politically.

The road goes ever on. -TolkienBuenos Aires. Not sure how good it is or if I'm in tune.

The road goes ever on. -TolkienJust an atmospheric soundtrack piece for an RPG setting some folks are putting together.
I wish I could tell. Your voice sounds reasonably good, but (on Buenos Aires at least) it's just completely buried under the instruments.

@Jakes Brain: Thanks. Any tips to get rid of the "Buried under instruments" bit?

The road goes ever on. -TolkienIt's just a matter of making sure that the voice track is loud enough to stand out among the instruments; as it is, the instruments all sound slightly louder than you do — you'd need to either increase the volume on the voice track, or push the volume slightly down on everything else. Moving the other tracks slightly to either side of the stereo picture is also a good way to keep them from muddling the voice, just so long as the result has good balance — you don't want all the loudest noises to be coming from the same side, after all.

Springing up from the aether, I have come here once again with another mashup! (This time of a song from Sonic The Hedgehog and another from Sonic Adventure.)
A little while ago I published this : https://soundcloud.com/atoll-intercom-systems/sets/dp-ram
It is a track-by-track remix album of Daft Punk's RAM, made only from samples of each of the tracks (in original tracklist order) with one exception (that you can hear in the last track). Otherwise, any and all sonic material heard in these tracks come from the original album.

I could probably record something similar to it if I wanted to, although it wouldn't be exactly the same, as it was entirely improvised and since it wasn't a serious song, I never bothered transcribing it or anything. It was basically just me playing a weird little riff and screaming a bunch of random obscenities in my best attempt at grindcore pig squealing and I slapped on the equally gimmicky title, "The Ballad of Robert Christgau."
