Selenian Rock?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRaging Heart isn't taken, technically. (It's Raising.)
Nous restons ici."Lunar Stone"'s the most obvious, although it sounds a little dull....
Lunalight? Silver Crystal (silver's often associated with the moon and moonlight)? Stone of Tranquility (a reference to the "Sea of Tranquility")?
There's also "seleno-" as a less commonly used prefix for things regarding the moon, so maybe; Seleno Stone or similar?
Why would it be a bonus if the name referred to the moon in some way, BTW? That might make it easier to come up with suggestions.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerregolith something?
Expanding off Septimus Heap and Bisected 8's posts, may I suggest Selenian Amethyst, or perhaps Selenothyst? Off course, seleno/selenian coming from the name of the Greek Titan of the moon, Selene. The amethyst part comes from the fact that it was quite valuable before the 18th century, and because it is purple. And of course, purple is the go-to color for magic.
Alternatively, Selenian Opal/Selenopal. Opal could be used instead of Amethyst, because it's more of a generally lucky/magical stone, whereas amethyst is used for, more or less, a hangover cure in mythology.
Or, if you just want to eschew the concept of real stones being blended in with your thing, Selenexousia, a combination of Selene and the Greek word for power, exousia. In other words, "moon power".
Hope this helps.
YOU'LL PAY FOR THE WHOLE SEAT, BUT YOU'LL ONLY NEED THE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDGE!!!Or, if you want something that's a mythological allusion to the moon that's not as beaten into the ground, then consider alluding to either Artemis or Phoebe, both of whom were at least partially associated with it.
Springboarding off 's suggestions, I can personally see names like the Artethyst or the Phexousia.
Or, if you want something truly fantastical sounding, you might also consider just putting a few letters in *the middle* of a mythological name to achieve the desired effect. Something like the "Seralene" or the "Artolemis".
Leto was the Titan associated with the moon in Greek myth. :P Same logic.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThank you guys :)
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.I need (yet another) name for a special force unit.
I initially had Special Assault Unit, but it's already taken (what a bummer!).
How does Special Strike Squad, nicknamed The Strikers, sound like? Too cheesy/corny?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I would probably call them the Triple S with that alliteration, but the Strikers sounds fine to me.
I'm feeling indecisive about the name of a vampire bar. The owner, Vercingetorix is a human who is a bit of a shyster. His bar became famous over selling "Certified Virgin Blood" which he heavily marketed when he first opened it. The bar's decor is vaguely historical (like 1930s and prior stuff with no rhyme or reason) with a lot of red tones.
The name of the bar is currently "The Bloody Revolution." I can't decide how much the bar's name should beat people on the head that caters primarily to vampires.
If someone said there were vampires hanging out somewhere, that would've been my first guess. Kinda on the nose. Perhaps a something that had Red in the name? To allude to blood? The Red Cup? The Red Room wouldn't be too out of place considering the decor. The Red Corner?

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.Need a good name for a super heroine. Her powers are the ability to manipulate earth, air, and water. Something that would reference her heritage from Central Africa would be preferable, but it's not required. Or maybe a reference to the sun. That works to.

http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3007268/4/The_Legion_of_Justice Superheroes! What could go wrong?: The "Red Cup" would actually be rather fitting in more ways than one, especially if said bar happens to have college students as repeat patrons. Y'know, if you catch my drift.
That said, I can also see the "Bloody Mary", or maybe even the "Virgin Bloody Mary", as those could fit in several different ways too. Because, really, those have connotations that just refer to your average human bar.
: Would your heroine be in-tune with her heritage enough to consider naming herself after a Central African deity of nature? And, frankly, what *is* her specific tribal heritage? (As giving her a name of a deity that has nothing to do with her particular heritage would be inadvisible.)
There are other drinks with cool names, likeHangman's blood and Corpse reviver

I'm still putting together the specifics behind her specific heritage, so I'm not really sure about that. I'm leaning towards her being of the Gbaya, but I'm still debating.
She could, if only as a mention of her history.

http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3007268/4/The_Legion_of_Justice Superheroes! What could go wrong?@Kaxen and Shenrai: On the subject of the name of the bar, instead of Shenrai's suggestion of "Virgin Bloody Mary", I'd have suggested "Bloody Virgin Mary" instead. It works in that it sounds sacrilegious, is a play on an alcoholic drink, and fits with the pictorial signboard naming convention traditional pubs have a tendency of doing.
Bloody Virgin Mary sounds perfect.
What's a good name for a hobbit-ish race? (Preferably something which sounds similar to "hobbit".)
