Yes, I've seen the trailers as well. It does look promising. It's been quite a while since we've seen a new installment for DW. ^_^
Teacher's pet.: Pillars of Moral Character. It's going to be the exact same thing as Dynasty Warriors 6. And i don't think i'd have it any other way.
Is it just me or are the new costumes a bit more fanservice laden this time around? For the boys and girls mind.
Except it's not; no Renge and multiple weapon switching are pretty big deviations from 6

Real-Time Weapon Change!? What an AMAZING DEVELOPMENT! XD
In all seriousness, it's going to boil down to bashing buttons to bash Mooks over and over again... Again. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's true.
Did you hear that Zuo Ci, Jiang Wei, Zhu Rong, and others are coming back?
I wonder would Koei ever give serious thought to amalgamating the RPG aspects of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series with the 3D graphics and combat of the Dynasty Warriors series.
Because I would buy that shit.
"You can only come to the morning through the shadows."They're doing another one? Jesus Christ. There is no way in hell that I'm spending $60 on another one of those games.
As long as the games sell, the series will never die...
Been a while since I played one, though. Could be interesting, but I'll probably wait and see; try renting it whenever it comes out.
I want more difficulty and longer length...though I haven't played anything past 4 I was pretty mad I didn't have to level grind to get the high level items. Cause it was pretty fun.
They need to fix 2 really stupid things they did with 6.
An auto save feature, manual save optional, that saves you're game at designated safe spots (somewhere away from enemies and near health...maybe a base or something) I can't count how many times I forgot to use one of my saves and had to go back and do the whole level again.
Also I'm really sick of having to pick my horse every time I use free mode. I don't have to pick my weapon too so I don't get it.
Also bring back dueling.
God no that was the worst mechanic of the DW's...
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Jin and Wei trailers. Man the Jin theme sounds like something out of Guilty Gear. It's still awesome though.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2So this is coming out in 2 days! The more I read about it the more I cant wait to play. Out of the 60+ characters there will be 36 weapons which can be changed out at any time however some (about half) characters will have Unique movesets with their preferred weapon. All weapons are pretty customizable with Seals and abilities attached to it and elements of different weapons play a bigger role.
Everyone has unique EX moves for their preferred weapon as well (Most of these are extensions of their move set like hitting triangle more after a C3 and such)
So far announced DLC is going to be DW 6 outfits, old soundtracks and Yue Ying's Spear (which comes with an extra conquest battle to unlock their level 9 weapon.) The Spear is going to cost 100 points and the rest are free.
Story mode will focus on the kingdom in general but the character you play will always be set for that particular battle although some battles you will switch characters at the mid point in the fight. Stat pickups in Storymode will carry over to the next character you play as but only 1/10th of it is permanent but that 1/10 is applied to the entire kingdom's force. Even after you beat the thing you can not switch characters. Each kingdom is looking to be about 20 stages and take 6-8 hours each to beat Cutscenes are seamless which is a really cool effect.
Conquest mode is where you unlock most of the characters the huge map has quite a few 1 time only squares, like character unlock battles, but some of the bigger battles have 2 or 3 battles in it. And each character is going to have 3 or 4 stages for just them. Here is the only issue I have so far... only 14 new maps the rest are DW 6 maps.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Having played the game for quite a bit Story mode is way excellent and I am loving the whole rpg aspects they have put in conquest mode but the lack of free mode and the fact that some character dont appear in story mode at all let alone get a cutscene is really disappointing (Nanman, Qiaos, Cai Wenji, Bao Sanniang and the latter two are new characters...) its a big ding against it but not a real deal breaker I have high hopes for DLC.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Reviews are coming and once again, there is a reason why we have this game under Americans hate Tingle. Right now, Cheat Code Central gave it a 2.8 out 5, IGN gave it a 5 out of 10, and Destrctiod gave it an 8 out of 10.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2That's actually pretty good. If these are the worst reviews DW 7 gets...
Edit: Most of the reviews cited in it's Wikipedia article are around an 8/10. Famitsu of all things gave it 36/40. Which makes the 60 on Metacritic rather strange. Slow to update?

Aww, did I hurt your widdle fee-fees?Yeah Dynasty Warriors always gets raped in the reviews and I have some serious issues with that IGN review they played maybe 5 minutes... and gave it a lower score than Warriors Legends Of Troy.
Ok Beat all of the story modes and damn they did a good job with the story I mean its near impossible to not feel for these guys most of all Cao Cao,
And holy shit this has to be the best DW battle theme ever and the perfect final battle theme... even better than Dynasty Warriors 3 - The Men of Intelligence

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Been having loads of fun with this the last couple of days. Much, much better than that travesty they called Dynasty Warriors 6.
Finished the Wei campaign, which was totally awesome the entire time, and am about halfway through the Shu campaign right now.
Though I find that having watched 3 seasons of Koihime Musou makes it very hard to take certain aspects of this story seriously. Especially anything involving Gongsun Zan or Zhao Yun.
Finally got it. Going to finish off the Wei campaign and then try out Conquest.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war. Some things I liked:
- Xiahou Ba: that...is just plain Daaw, its not even fair. Male Moe. Its like a puppy wielding a giant sword.
- Sima Zhao: definitely a fresh vibe in the franchise.
- Sima Yi: is less of a smug snake in this one and actually comes across rather sympathetic.
- Sima Shi: Well-Intentioned Extremist and one cool Magnificent Bastard. Not many people can walk slowly and calmly when everyone in the court is out to kill you.
- Jia Xu: At. Long. Last!!!
- Cao Cao: I was pleasantly surprised by the story for him...
- Lu Bu and Diao Chan have gotten a bit more in sync, and Lu Bu is even now fighting to end the chaos for her, going by some quotes.
- More depth added to Liu Bei and Liu Shan.
- Jiang Wei's motivations are tested, questioned and shown through his actions.
- The very deep story is also very, very good.
Say I wanted to get into the series.
Best game and worst game? What should I try first?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I would definitely rate this one pretty highly in quality.
Either 5 or this one for best. 4 is not as good as either. 6 is the worst.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Stay away from 6, it never got its history down.
I recall Xiahou Shang dying in one battle and then APPEARING in the next battle!!
I am anticipating this one a lot. Jin Kingdom at fricking long last.
Zhong Hui: looks like Suzaku Kururugi. He will change sides a few times, has the hair, and the general look.
Deng Ai: He looks badass.
Ding Feng: a long running general from Rot3k, I was looking forward to him.
Ma Dai:...huh, a paint brush?
