The thread for those NPC's and characters that just seem terrifying to look at. Here there be the horrible, dead-eyed hordes of the Elder Scrolls IV, creatures with the skin of a corpse, and that Big Giant Head from Silent Hill 4. Abandon hope all ye who enter here (Evil Laugh).

Star Ocean 4. Holy crap. The character models are at the very bottom of the valley, the animation and expressionless faces don't help.

[up]Was about to mention that. Star Ocean Till The End Of Time wasn't much better.

I honestly think they should've went cel-shaded with those two games, especially since they seemed to have been going for an anime-styled look anyway. The current look just makes them look like strange, creepy living dolls.

You are encouraged to post pics. Let the whole world behold these unclean blasphemies against nature!

Ahem, yeah, pics welcome.

What about Mouth Flaps? I've seen these in Half Life...and I've seen the Heart Of Evil mod that I think had character models with modeled, animated mouths, which might be better or worse.

How bout some videos: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24833045&postcount=200

Warning: Those youtube links contain SO 4's horrid story, which is known to be toxic.

Also spoilers I guess, if you're insane enough to care about SO 4's story that is.

^^ Egad man, that was bloody terrifying! Eyes....

Hilarious ending mind you.

^ Yay, naked anime girls :) Honestly, those character models aren't that bad. They just look like anime characters.

Also, is Faize meant to be a guy?

Miranda is Mass Effect 2, especially the shadows on her face. Its just not natural.

You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans.

Yeah, we spent half a page talking about her over on 'Unpopular Videogame Opinions'. Its something about her skin makes her look like a mannequin.

Jotun, I take it back, that catgirl in the stripper outfit is seriously creepy, especially when she starts running at the camera.

Now don't get me wrong, Juri from Super Street Fighter IV is damn sexy, but her weird facial contortions do occasionally call up the valley. Probably the creepiest is the cutscene before the Bison fight where she has her eyes closed, then goes all 'OMFGEXTREMECLOSEUPRAPEFACE!!' But then, she is Ax-Crazy, so it's probably intentional.

Seaman

Educate yo'self. (I find it hilarious that Uncanny Valley isn't actually listed on the page.)

That... thing is from a pet sim?!? I thought it was from Siren!

On that note, Siren 2, the bit with the face appearing on the womans chest. Hell, the whole game, since it used real actors faces as textures for the characters.

Since I have no idea how, request somebody link that scene I just mentioned.

The play-as-a-kid mods in Fallout 3. Not that the standard kids were any better.

In fact, all of the damn Fallout games.

Half-Life: Dual Nature, a crossover story of reasonably sized proportions.

How, exactly, did Fallout 1 or 2 have any form of Uncanny Valley? You couldn't even see anyone's faces.
