Kill them while they're recovering. As Rosalina/Toon Link I typically kill between 100-150 without getting myself mauled. Only once went to 300% mutually, and I still don't get how that happened.

It just means Fullmoon has practiced his timing very well for grabs. Not so much for Smashes.

It's actually a pretty normal thing. I'm fairly good at Running Up Smashes, but not so good at timing Grabs or timing a Counter move.

That's useless against the characters I have trouble against. Gimps/meteors require point blank range. Pikachu won't keep still and Mega Man won't let you near him.

hm. i find it easy to do smashes but i rarely ever full charge them. mine are the quick smashes.

robin works fairly well with that, especially since her air-smashes cant be charged anyway. but im terrible at aiming them. that up smash is so narrow ;_; never hits.

In other crappier news yeah I only now kinda notice how Bowser's Brawl onward Side B looks like Hugo's Megaton Press from Street Fighter especially when done in the air.

I actually haven't really practiced... Anything really, except using Shadow Sneak. It never felt particularly difficult for me to use grabs. I don't have much trouble landing Smash attacks either, in fact I overall have a pretty good hit percentage.

You haven't fought Mega Man.

I did the challenge panels requiring 2 and 4 K Os. That's it.

I got 3 K.O.s with Ganondorf.

I could never get to 4.

It is on the same level of bullsh*t as Unlimited Mars mode from Blaz Blue.

At least in Sm4sh you don't HAVE to fight to the very end of the mode to get an Unlimited, BBCP was just duuuumb.

I used Kirby's Stone move. Easy really.

I tired Cruel Smash the other day.

You need at least four KOs to unlock all the challenge panels related to that mode. The trick to that is Counter-type specials. Little Mac, Ike, Marth, Greninja, Palutena, Swordfighter, anyone with a get-hit-and-counter special can get a few Knock Outs in like that.

I got my requisite 4 KO in Cruel as Kirby. Took me a while too, because those bastards LOVE footstooling you. It's a good thing they suck at recovering though.

i managed to get 3 ko's at one point with kirby by jumping off the edge of the stage, sucking an enemy in and spitting them out below the stage and floating back up to the stage, usually using up-b to knock the other enemies away from the edge.

its hard... ;_;

Re: For Fun and Lag

I must be a rare one who is not bothered by lag. I tend to attack pretty slowly and deliberately, so lag helps me size things up, esp. dead-stop lag (too much is annoying, but occasionally allows you to re-orient).

Plus the lag usually isn't hideous.

input lag often follows bad lag.

at least once recently input lag was bad to the point where it felt like robin couldnt do anything and i never managed to get thoron out before dying no matter how many times i pressed b after it had charged.

Makes me wonder if GGPO would work in the context of a Smash game...

I've had significantly worse luck with the evasion strategy in this game- The Cruel AI seems a little smarter than before.

I sure said that!

It's because they purposely footstool you as you recover after spitting them out under the stage.

I think I know my problem now. I always lose the psychological aspect of fights. If I get beaten down, I go ballistic, and it goes about as well as you'd expect. If the match takes too long and I get too bored to continue or if the opponent takes me down in a stupidly short time, I SD so they won't have the dignity of getting that last KO.

Basically, I'm too emotional. >:/

A couple of pages ago, you guys were commenting about how many items you can get out of Smash Run, that is, how is there a limit of ten or no. Well, I can also confirm that there is no limit. I just got 638 gold and 9 items.
