I hope heller's more likeable than mercer. While it's almost impossible NOT to be more likeable than mercer, i don't have my hopes set very high.

Looks like the enemies are a tad bigger this time around. Good.

At first I was skeptical. I mean, the graphics don't seem to have improved and it seems like we're just going back to New York again which seems kinda lazy on the devs part. And Sergeant James and his big revenge thing seemed like going through the motions again with a new revenge crazed jerkass who will probably undergo character development.

And then I saw the minigun, and then I saw the giant boss at the end.

I'm still not sure if this is going to be the Even Better Sequel that would turn Prototype into an awesome series on par with something like, say, Assassin's Creed (which had the original get similar reviews to Prototype) but I'm certain that this should be bloody fun.

Also a fight against Alex Mercer? That already sounds awesome.

Given the ridiculous number of civilians you mulched in some way or another playing the first game, it only makes sense that one of their relatives would make a try for revenge. I am interested.

Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this.

^^^ I dunno, I found Blacklight! Mercer to be pretty likable. He's definitely a lot more altruistic than the actual Alex Mercer, and as long as you don't play him like a murderous Ax-Crazy psychopath, he's a very typical Anti-Hero: A Heroic Sociopath, but not exactly evil either.

At the very least, he's less evil than most of the characters in the game (though, to be fair, that's not exactly a hard thing to be).

I hope this one doesn't require you to do ridiculously over the top killing sequences if you for some reason can't pull off a stealth kill. I found that a little annoying, to be honest, especially since Alex arguably doesn't have to kill his victims beforehand in the first place.

As I said in the other thread, I really hope they have a different script/dialogue writer for this one.

The only hope I have is that it will turn out similar to Assassin's Creed 2, in that it keeps the core gameplay yet tighten the controls. The first one was fun enough on its own but needed a bit more polish.

Also some more information, or even a reveal with Pariah.

^And of course hopefully a reveal about the templars. I didn't even notice that there were templars until I saw a page for them on the prototype wiki.

Throw me in with the 'hope it turns out like Assassin's Creed II' crowd too, I guess. The first one was alright, but it got really annoying near the end of the game when you couldn't walk two blocks without tripping an alert, Hunters are some of the most annoying Goddamned Bats / Demonic Spiders I've ever faced, the middle portion of the game where Alex lost his offensive powers was such bullshit, and the fight against Elizabeth Greene stopped being fun about 45 minutes in (and it went on for about half an hour after that).

...Basically, as long as this sequel doesn't have as much bullshit, sure, I'll go with it, but at a reduced price.

I woulld like to see some Bayonetta influecnes in the next one, such as Sheer ungodly sized boss fights, over the top combat, and Alex mercer and New guy throw missles at each other like its playing catch.

You know in terms of speculating about powers and stuff, I'd love it if they replaced vision power with like a transportation power. So you could get giant wings to fly or a boost on your feet to make you run on the ground faster. That'd be awesome.

Also, I noticed that in his armoured form, Heller seems to have a more bluish tinge, intentional?

And I wonder why they're obscuring Heller's face so much.

Guh, 2012 is so far away....

I just hope the fans won't go "LOL, MERCER IS A COMPLETE MONSTER, I LOVE HIM SOOOOOO MUCH" with Heller as much as Mercer did. Just because they'll undoubtedly play Heller as a complete monster doesn't mean they have to rape his characterization.

Also, needs moar powers besides Blade and Armor. I hope they give more love to Whipfist, Hammer, and claws - maybe add more formers.

Is it just me, or do the new BlackWatch designs look like things from Mass Effect?

Wait, did you say more love to Whipfist? Jesus, I didn't get any unnecessary upgrades except for Whipfist and the game was crazy easy for a long time. Honestly, I would prefer more love to perhaps the Hammerfist and perhaps Muscle Mass. And yeah, Vision was quite useless.

Vision was good when you were shooting for the kill 50,000 plus zombie achievement because it filtered out background noise. Infection vision, blade and armor was like a trance. I killed 10,000 zombies in one sitting. I don't even remember doing it.

Here's hoping that we get some new powers. Maybe instead of the Insta-kill everything within a hundred feet super power we could get a giant mode where we turn into our one winged angel form. Bonus points if we can unlock infinite use on our second play through.

I went through most of the game using muscle mass for my damage needs. I found the amount of damage anything else do pale in comparison to a fully charged car chuck. Never got the whipfist favor. It's not like there's a shortage of stuff to throw in the game.

Maybe there will be two different scenarios. One for Heller, and one for Mercer.

Murder your maker. So Alex must've made a new Virus that probably consumed Heller.

Or maybe he duplicated and that part consumed heller or something.

Either way, Alex made a new runner and I'm thinking by accident given that mercer's a nice guy.

OR

The real Alex Mercer made more than one set of viruses and the other one was unleashed, it consumed Heller who is mistaking Blacklight for the real Mercer

Judging from the trailer, I'm guessing that Blackwatch managed to get a DNA sample of Blacklight!Alex and injected him with it to create a controlled weapon.

I was always a little disappointed that Blade made Claw completely obsolete, which it didn't fully do to anything else.

^ IMO muscle mass rendered hammer fist obsolete as well. There really was no need to use something so bulky and unwieldy (Mercer often falls over when he's swinging hammer fist) when you have something that makes your attacks just as powerful and doesn't make you lose your mobility.

Hell, they could just ditch claw and hammerfist to give Wings and stuff.

Did I mention I wanted Wings? Emo Peter Pan was fine the first time, but man it would be awesome if Mercer could actually fly.
