On the first Kingdom Hearts, I got to the part where you get to Hollow Bastion and lose the Keyblade and your teammates, being left stranded in the most dangerous world yet without the ability to fight back *

. I was so scared I turned off the PS 2 without saving and ran to tell my brother.

My earliest video game memory is of getting tangled up in the line of Koopa Troopas in the second stage of Super Mario World. Half the Troopas were in shells, a third were walking along the ground. The most baffling thing is that I didn't lose a life from taking damage. I lost it because I ran out of time. How does one even do that?

While playing Kingdom Hearts II, I kept stubbornly trying to equip Sora with a staff, and I kept wondering why the dumb game wouldn't let me use a staff!!

Whenever I was playing any Harvest Moon game that lets you move diagonally, I always do a small loop whenever I'm watering crops/milking animals. I still do this on this very day, albeit unconsciously.

When I visited relatives, I would always play my cousin's old N64. I had no idea how to play Super Mario 64 as a kid (since I was a dumbass), so I constantly would drown him out of frustration. :P

I don’t even know anymore.

Having mashed through the nurse's dialogue in Pokemon, I panicked when I saw it and realised nothing I was doing to cure it worked. I freaked out even more when I saw it spreading to all my other Pokemon. I became convinced that they would die, so I did the only sensible thing and stuffed everyone "expendable" in solitary in a PC box to keep them from spreading it, and spent about three days straight healing my 'mons over and over again.

This move actually turned out to be quite useful later, though, since I now have several samples of the virus ready for use now that I know what it is. So I'm not sure how dumb that actually was.

Completely failing to understand how Mirror Machine worked in Logical Journey of the Zoombinis.

Impulsively and repeatedly jumping too early on the 4th boss in Sonic 2 Game Gear when I was supposed to wait for him to uncurl.

Repeatedly running into the first Kremcroc in Donkey Kong Land 1 because I didn't know how to jump.

Attempting to run entire journeys on Oregon Trail at a Grueling pace.

I used to run around in Grand Theft Auto and murder people for pocket change instead of doing missions.

Using Not Very Effective attacks in Pokémon Crytal against gym leaders and wondering why the game was so hard. Not to mention being stuck in towns for not knowing what to do next. Although both problems could be justified by the fact I didn't know english when I was a kid (how I still managed to beat these games is still a mystery to me lol)

In Morrowind I used to cast myself off mountains, or jump thousands of feet into the air and fall dead to the ground. Though actually I still do that in Oblivion and Skyrim......

[up][up] Which is the dumb part? I'd say both are assomeawesome!

...That sounded better in my head.

I'm not sure I can call this dumb, but I always used a Master Ball on a Skarmory in Ruby and Sapphire. Somewhat justified since it's the only Mon that gives me trouble when it comes to being caught. The rest fall to my other Balls easily. Especially the Timer Ball, who makes toast of Legendaries.

To be fair, they teleport away right away.

Again, justified easily. [lol]

Now, using it on a Weedle...

Did it make you rage?

Joking aside, agreed.

I actually did think the Mew Truck rumor was true, so I did do all the stuff necessary to attempt to get it.

Speaking of Pokemon, what was your guys' ritual when you threw a pokeball?

I'd press and hold b as soon as the ball opened and use left and right on the d-pad, timing it with the direction the ball rocked. I totally thought I was doing something useful.

[up][up]Yup! Did that.

[up][up][up]Oh jeez I remember that! I caught a bunch of those weird glitch Pokemon. Effin' rumors + parents who wouldn't let me use the internet to check it out.

I remember the first Tomb Raider game. When the T-Rex first came out, I was so scared I dropped the controller and sat there in terror as it ate Lara. Oh, and in the second game, my friends and I would giggle like idiots at an early part where a guy starts smacking Lara with a metal bar—she would make these odd groans of pain and if she was pinned against a wall the character movements were rather suggestive.

Oh, and Pandemonium. I could never get very far in that game and would ragequit every time.

Remember memory cards? For the longest time I never had one, so when I played Spyro it was all or nothing. Proudest moment of my elementary school life was beating that sucker in one long-ass session.

Oooooh also in Pokemon I raised a team of Blisseys and I named the 6 of them after venereal diseases. But this was only 2 years ago I believe. I remember Syphilis being my strongest one. <3

[up][up][up]I still do that. It helps, actually. Shut up. It feels like it does....

I also remember tapping A to accelerate instead of holding it in Mario Kart. I'm... not sure why I thought I needed to do that.

Surprisingly enough, it doesn't affect your speed all that much.
