I so much did not expect a classic macro to garner such reactions
I'm also surprised 'cause I've seen that one at least a dozen times in various OTC threads, but with every joke that you think has been told a thousand times, there are always people in any party who are hearing it for the first time.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur....which is the case since there's only a couple of OTC threads that I've ventured into.
Yeah. So, I guess, yay for memes?
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. For me that was simply the perfect place to use it. It was the context that made it funny there, rather than it just being "oh, that macro again"
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I agree that that thread was probably the best instance of that macro yet.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Yeah, Scriblerian went all in on that one. Nice.
It was an honorYup, advocating violence against people who are different based on a presumption of their motivations for being so is certainly MOFW material.

MOFW and politics don't mix well I suppose.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Guess its a YMMV thing.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerEddie's was really good. This one is great.
@Bobby and others: His post was targeted towards those who were being deliberately over-the-top and purposely stereotypical when expressing themselves. As someone who can occasionally behave stereotypically for my orientation but not because it's a stereotype, I found it hilarious. I apologize if posting that in MOFW offended anyone. That was not my intent.
And Willbyr ninja'd me. Why aren't I surprised?

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Yeah I think DS was referring to people who act over-the-top and like walking stereotypes not out of expressing themselves, but out of less-than-savory reasons.
That's how I read it.
Fresh-eyed movie blogEh, sorry. It was the suggestion of violence that really doesn't sit well with me.

I know this is a little on the crude side, but this made me laugh more than anything else that's happened in/with the wiki in a long time. Start at the top of the page and work down for context...to get the full effect, you need to go back to here for the setup.
