What is it with people and comparing dinosaurs with chickens?

[up]The bird-hipped dinosaurs?

In addition to that, some recent dinosaur fossil finds have had imprints of feathers or feather-like structures. I suppose some people really like Bathos.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiot

It's a bit of a silly comparison, though. There are other birds, after all.

But dinosaurs is a very broad term. Is it possible that some of them had feathers, while others had scales? Heck, what if some of them had hair (I find it unlikely though)?

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.

Yeah, but when the masses think "cool dinosaur" it's a T-Rex or velociraptors. Which are the birdiest of the lot.

Yes, that's true.

Heck, what if some of them had hair (I find it unlikely though)?

According to Dougal Dixon, yes. tongue If it weren't for that stupid comet, anyway.

...makes sense.

I find this compelling evidence that eagles would be cooler without feathers.

It's easy enough to find a featherless parrot, and it really doesn't look all that different from a roast chicken or turkey beside it still having the head and feet. Probably the same for an eagle.

Well, Dinosaurs are basically just flightless birds that died from it being too cold.

There's a tabletop game called Nobilis in which a dinosaur defecated near (or on) the angel of destruction, which provoked the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.

He doesn't like for it to be brought up.
