Personally I have wanted some more fluff, and possibly some conversion kits from Forge World, for the gang inspired Necromunda 8th, if only because they have been around since 1st Edition and haven't had much (or any) love recently.

I've primed my Poxwalkers with the white version of my normal primer...I'll report back with results on the washing method that Duncan used.

There's going to have to be a lot of work done on the various Eldar articles to catch them up to the new names...and maybe it's just me, but the Executive Meddling entries at the start of the articles feel really clunky.

As I pointed out on the discussion page, unless there is an official statement as to the reason for the name change being copyright related, it is just fan speculation and probably belongs on YMMV rather than the character/main page. I was going to start having a serious look at updating the pages when I get back home next weekend (I am on holiday at the moment).

Iirc, GW tried to copyright Eldar as the name, only to get told that they couldn't because Tolkien Estate has that word copywritten already^note Eldar shows up in The Silmarillion as the name for the Elves

The new Primaris Captain, Primaris Librarian and Reivers look amazing

Yeah the new Primaris look cool, but I'm waiting for GW to use their improved kit making ability to make some Emperor-damned Guard minis.

The Librarian looks very nice and the skull mask guys look reasonably cool. The new Captain looks a little dull to me though.

Is it because the new Captain isn't in Gravis armour? He does loot a little like the Lieutenants from the box set.

And in regard to my other post: Not sure if it was true or not, but that's what I heard in the rumour mill. It was shortly after GW tried to trademark "Space Marine" and lost that lawsuit against someone because they were told they couldn't trademark "Space Marine" as its too general a term that they decided to start using all of the names that could be trademarked.

I have to assume that the renames are a result of trying to make their own copyrightable names, since they did the same with AOS factions. It seems like this concept should be its own trope.

I agree, those new Primaris figures look really cool. What it makes me wonder is if they're going to integrate the Primaris into the Grey Knights since they now have psykers.

I'd likely convert any Reivers I run though.

I believe, based on seeing the Reiver leader head, that they will ride eternal, shiny and chrome.

Which is perfect for my Chapter, really.

Something that I noticed when I was first reading through Imperial 1...unless there's something in one of the HH novels that I'm not aware of, they've finally canonized that Horus tampered with the Emperor's orders to Russ and the Wolves regarding Magnus.

No, that's exactly what happens in the HH novels.

Emperor says to Horus to send Russ to arrest Magnus and bring him to Terra. Horus says to Russ "Yeah, dad said to kill Magnus". Russ decided to ignore that at first and basically tried pleading with Magnus to not make him do that, but Magnus was busy being emo because he realized he fucked up.

problem is russ said the remenberer atach to him was magnus spy....except he wasnt, Russ also though he knew about the warp but he was wrong.

Also the first indication of Horus míddling come from false gods.

Since existing Marines can be geneforged to become Primaris (which is essentially just adding 3 more organs to make them "better"), who'd you figure among the named "Old Guard" would gladly take the plunge to become Astartes 2.0?

And damnit, with Sicarius as commander of the Victrix Guard, who's the captain of the 2nd company now?

Will we ever see Ventris mentioned out of the novels? Ideus has been, what, captain of the 4th Company like forever, yet in the novels he's been dead for decades already.
