It's "haiku," actually.

And I don't see why we couldn't have surprisingly formal poetry in more places than one.

Huh. Nobody's introduced themselves recently. I wonder why that is.

Our poetry has frightened them. It has appeared as a rottweiler of words, almost completely harmless, but still intimidating. They are scared that people who would use words in such a way would not be welcoming people. So to you frightened, prospective newbies who may otherwise be scared of posting here, I say to you, do not be frightened by us. We don't bite. We are much like the earth itself, in the sense that we are mostly harmless. Come on in, and we will give you a sincere, if silly, welcome.
