• Accidental Innuendo: Sora provides an example of this in episode 8; "This is no good, I wanted your curry, Haru!"
• Adaptation Displacement: Is justified for a Western audience, since the original novel was never translated into English, and many got to know this work through anime.
• Alternative Character Interpretation: Are the Kasugano twins just single children who start immoral relationships because of hard life and the lack of parents, or are they Lovable Sex Maniacs, for whom sexual activity is also easy as brushing your teeth? For example, all this time, we do not see any other manifestation of Sora's romantic feelings, except obsessive desire to have sex with her brother. The arched structure of the adaptation also does not help, because of which many mistakenly saw Haruka as a guy who Really Gets Around and simply did not believe his final words that he loved only Sora.
• Critical Dissonance: The anime adaptation was generally seen by critics as a "vulgar version of Amagami SS". At the same time, this work has received the status as a Cult Classic among imouto-titles and is considered one of the exemplary works on the theme Twincest and Brother–Sister Incest in general.
• Cliché Storm: Even Sora's arc which is relatively original is full of cliches, like Sibling Triangle or Conveniently an Orphan.
• Cult Classic: This is probably one of the most famous anime about incest, even after the appearance of more mainstream works. First of all, this is due to the large amount of ecchi and aversion of Not Blood Siblings.
• Do Not Do This Cool Thing: Basically invoked, so-as it is caused by censorship and fear of being accused of immorality from censors.
• Fanon: Despite the fact that few people read the continuation of the original novel, among fans it is widely believed that the twins somehow got married in the final analysis because of the existence of CG where the happy Sora admires the ring on her ring finger. Or even that Sora is waiting for their first child. At the same time, this can only be a "game" on the flea market, that can be guessed because of the counter with the dishes to her left.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Akira and Kazuha's father revealed to have cared about the former all along, and the latter is finally learning to accept her father.
  • Likewise, Kazuha's mother apologizing for having neglected Akira's feelings for so long.
• Ho Yay: Before The Reveal about Kazuha and Akira's relationship as half-sisters, Haruka finds himself fantasizing about the two of them as lovers. Kazuha is revolted when she realizes that's what he thinks. But significantly, Akira is willing to force a fairly passionate kiss on her in order to make a point ...
• Just Here for Godzilla: The Brother–Sister Incest is the only appealing thing about this series for most. It seems that even the authors themselves are not interested in anything else in the novel, except for Akira.
• Moe: Applies to most of the girls, but Sora and Akira are the best contenders.
• Mainstream Obscurity: Most people in the anime community know what this series is about, but few of the modern fans have watched it.
• Memetic Mutation: This anime has become the ground for so many jokes about the incest, that even years later and the appearance of the more famous Oreimo and Eromanga Sensei, this title still remains the biggest incestuous Fountain of Memes in the anime community.
  • And then there is nimu nimu nimu...
• Narm: The faces of the characters during sex, especially Haruka, whose expressions have become a separate meme.
• Once Original, Now Overdone: Now it can be very difficult to understand why such anime devoted to incest and having a lot of erotic content has become so cultic and popular, due to the fact that much of this became a cliche after many years, especially incest fan service.
• Squick: The Kasugano twins incestuous relationship. In-Universe and out.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Some fans are sure that the arcs system was not the best solution, and the adaptation could become much better, deeper and dramatic than the final Porn with Plot, if story was completely concentrated only on the arc of Sora and the experiences of the twins.
• Watch It for the Meme: If you watch this series now, then you probably decided to do it because of incestuous demotivators.
