  • Base-Breaking Character:
    • Is Patrick an overdone character who has a generic and boring storyline, or is he a surprisingly likable and deep character with a lot of potential for plotlines?
    • Is Graham a funny but still slightly intimidating villain parody, or an nonredeemable asshole with nothing remotely likable about him?
    • Is Thema a blatant unlikable parody of Tumblr, or is she actually just a Well-Intentioned Extremist who is a lot deeper than that?
    • Is Karissa's God-complex a very enjoyable and hilarious concept, or is she just an annoying Alpha Bitch?
    • Is Umut a funny Jerkass who swears all the time for little reason, or is he horribly unlikable because of this same reasoning?
    • Is Yesenia a nice girl with an interesting personality due to her being a musician, or is she just dull compared to the rest of the cast?
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • While initially a Base-Breaking Character, Dainan has slowly become the most popular character of the story, primarily due to his snarky comments being seen as funny, his surprising Odd Friendship with Ruthie, and because he's an Australian character who actually averts the Awesome Aussie stereotype associated with them. By extension, Ruthie also acts as one, due to people thinking she'll have a major role in Dainan's development.
    • Unlike Dainan though, Hisano became this IMMEDIATELY after her reveal! While at first she seems like the generic badass ninja who collects knives and easily maneuvers all terrain, she then is revealed to be a Covert Pervert who has no social skills, along with lacking any ability to effectively flirt or even have casual conversations with boys. Add in her wanting to find a boyfriend, and we essentially get a gender-flipped Casanova Wannabe who also just so happens to be the biggest badass on the show.
    • Chad is similarly loved, but almost entirely because fans find him absolutely hilarious, not because he averts the American stereotype, but because he completely embraces it while also adding being a Surfer Dude and Fratbro, leading to most people thinking he is hilarious.
    • Oddly enough, Franci and Nephthys are also well liked due to probably being the nicest contestants on the show.
    • Sahib is seen as both a very intimidating and very unique villain who acts as a deconstruction of the standard Nice Guy stereotype.
    • Alyosha is well-liked due to being a stoic badass who just so happens to defend those who can't defend themselves.
    • Iria and Jiao are both seen as very hilarious characters by most of the fandom, and their scenes are usually some of the highlights of episodes.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap:
  • The Scrappy:
    • Earnest is probably the closest thing to a universally disliked character in the fandom, due to being a Jerkass who only joined the show to hurt others both physically and emotionally with his pranks.
