• Accidental Innuendo: "Well, see ya next Tuesday!"
• Alternative Joke Interpretation: Was SpongeBob intending to pepper spray Mrs. Puff and pepper sprayed himself by accident, or did he mean to pepper spray himself so that he'd forcibly call for help, thinking that his feeble calls for help would summon someone to help him stop the boatjacking?
• Crosses the Line Twice: The entire Imagine Spot that Mrs. Puff has about SpongeBob getting his license. What'd normally be something so horrific is made utterly hilarious with his usual antics behind the wheel paired with the over-the-top ways in which he causes wanton destruction, culminating in him running over a reporter in the middle of a broadcast!
  Reporter: Let's... not... use that take...
• Epileptic Trees: Mrs. Puff’s line “I'll have to move to new city, start a new boating school with a new name! No. Not again.” has lead to prime Fan Fic Fuel regarding Puff’s past and potential criminal activities.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • "WHAT I LEARNED IN BOATING SCHOOL IS..."^ExplanationA quote from SpongeBob's aggressive bout of writer's block trying to complete Mrs. Puff's extra credit assignment. Screencaps of the scene became a popular subject for reaction images and exploitables, with the latter category often including a parody of the quote.
  • "Oh Neptune..."^Explanation Mrs. Puff's reaction when she realizes she has to put up with SpongeBob for another year. Best used as a stock Oh, Crap! reaction when something goes wrong.
• Squick: SpongeBob getting shredded by cheese graters.

• Accidental Innuendo: "Wait, Jeffery! I have to touch you!"^note Hey!
• Fanon: Many fans have come to believe that this episode serves as an Interquel to "I Was a Teenage Gary", believing that the jellyfish convention in this episode takes place in Ukulele Bottom. It also helps that when SpongeBob comes home in "I Was a Teenage Gary", he's wearing the same hat he wore at the start of this episode.
• Fridge Horror: Considering that Kevin's "crown" is meant to represent part of the reproductive system of real-life sea cucumbers, it means that his ex-followers essentially castrated him at the end of the episode.
• Memetic Molester: Patrick with his obsessive touching of things and later kidnapping Jeffrey Jellyfish. His audio in this episode is a favorite of YouTube Poop creators for this reason.
  Patrick: OH MY GOSH! JEFFREY JELLYFISH! W-Wait Jeffrey! I have to touch you!

• Memetic Mutation:
  • "Wamp wamp waaah."^ExplanationAn imitation of Losing Horns performed by one of Kevin's club members whenever Kevin gets stung; a clip of this imitation became a popular reaction image, often used as actual Losing Horns.
  • "Touch." "Don't touch!" (Do I have to follow you all day?!)^ExplanationIn order, Patrick touches some state-of-the-art nets, a harpoon from an In-Universe movie, and Doctor Man-o-War's blister. Can be substituted with things like, for example, Two-Face's charred side with Batman acting as the Security Guard while Robin acts as Patrick, among other things.
    • "WAIT JEFFREY, I HAVE TO TOUCH YOU!"^ExplanationThe logical conclusion to the above, where Patrick screams at a jellyfish mascot how much he wants to touch him whilst being chased offscreen by the guard. This coincides with Memetic Molester, since it's easy to take the line out of context and make it sound more sexual than it is.
• Values Resonance: Since "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic" aired, fan culture had exploded through the internet, and is now a multi-billion dollar industry that is highly visible in mainstream pop culture. With more people involved in fandom, the issues that this episode touches upon — gatekeeping, Moving the Goalposts, elitism, idolatry, and disrespect for others' interests — would be relevant to more of these people nowadays than back when this episode first aired, when fandom was still largely niche. Naturally, this episode appears twice in "Fanbases Portrayed by SpongeBob".
