- Genius Bonus: The theme tune spells out "Some Mother Do 'Ave 'Em" in Morse Code.
- Retroactive Recognition:
- Elisabeth Sladen appears as Judy the fruit shop owner at the beginning of "The Hospital Visit", nearly a year before her role in Doctor Who.
- Richard Wilson appears in "Wendy House" as the insurance man.
- Brown from "The R.A.F. Reunion" is played by Ben Aris, who would later be best known for playing Julian Dalrymple-Sykes in Hi-de-Hi!.
- The receptionist in "The Baby Arrives" is played by Diane Holland, who would later be best known for playing Yvonne Stuart-Hargreaves in Hi-de-Hi!.
- Dr. Boyde is played by John D. Collins, who would later be best known for playing Fairfax in 'Allo 'Allo!.
- Vindicated by Reruns: By the very end of The '70s, the show's often slapstick humour and the appeal of Frank Spencer were starting to wear thin. However, when it was released on home video in The '90s and reran on television stations shortly after, it experienced a Revival of sorts. The fact that Michael Crawford had since gone on to appear in Broadway musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera and Barnum no doubt helped the cause.
