YMMV / Slniečko

  • Accidental Innuendo: To most people (especially people who haven't heard of the show before), the first part of Ratafak Plachta's name sounds like Rata-fuck
  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Does Ratafak deliberately mislead the children during education sessions because he wants to feel superior to them? Is he just dumb? Is he doing this to teach the children to think for themselves and that they shouldn't always go blindly along with what others tell them? Is he partially deaf, and him "misguiding" the children is actually him mishearing what he's told and just repeating what he thinks he was told?
  • Base-Breaking Character: Ratafak Plachta. Some people find him to be absolutely terrifying, while other people (particularly people raised with the show) find him to be endearing. Notably, despite being a prominent fixture in "scariest kids show characters" lists, he's a beloved character in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  • Crossover Shipping: For some reason, many Tumblr users ship Ratafak and Mr. Noseybonk from Jigsaw. They even have a Portmanteau Couple Name: "Ratabonk"
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Medvedík Brum resembles a surprising amount of the animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy's, especially Bonnie and Freddy.
  • Ho Yay: Somárik Peťko and Medvedík Brum are very touchy-feely with each other
  • Just Here for Godzilla: A large part of the fandom is made of adults who watch the show for the "creepy" puppets (in particular, Ratafak Plachta).
  • Memetic Badass: Ratafak Plachta, due to his (very minor) part in helping end communism in Czechoslovakia. Not all heroes wear capes, some are made of them.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    Communism: *exists*
Ratafak Plachta: Finally, a worthy opponentexplanation
  • Parody Displacement: The video that made Ratafak famous isn't actually from the show; it is an unknown person who managed to recover the Ratafak puppet — or a very good reconstitution — and decided to make it lipsynch to a cover of "When You Got It, Flaunt It" by TV host Marianna Durianova.
  • Periphery Demographic: Surprisingly for a Czechoslovakian kids show, a large chunk of fans are teenagers who are into creepypasta and horror fans, due to the puppets' creepiness.
  • Ugly Cute: To some fans, Ratafak is kind of adorable.
  • The Woobie: Slniečko herself is an incredibly lonely person, as with her being the actual Sun, she's naturally distant from the people who're having fun on the surface of Earth, lamenting on how she would love to be down there with them. Her incredibly soft, echoey voice also makes her all the more sympathetic.
