• Serial Numbers Filed Off: Word of God maintains that this isn't a sequel or remake, but merely exists in the same "repo universe."
  • Per The Other Wiki, since both Cox and Universal Pictures share ownership of Repo Man, neither can produce a true sequel without the other's consent. Universal's first reaction to Repo Chick was a cease and desist letter to Cox; when they released their own semi/demi/quasi/not-really remake Repo Men, Cox viewed it as a retaliatory Take That!.
    • Of course, Cox is rather infamous for getting defensive over the tiniest things and if he had seen the film, would have realized that Repo Men had absolutely nothing to do with Repo Man.
