- Alternate Character Interpretation: Baphomet receives an in-universe one. While the regular Baphomet in the games is more akin towards the classical interpretation of him, the Anime made him a force for good, maintaining and ensuring balance in the world of Rune-Midgards. This is especially shown when he suddenly appears in the final battle, destroying Dark Lord's spirit once and for all.
- Anvilicious: With themes like Fantastic Racism and Humans Are Bastards, nuff said.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Like Ragnarok Online, the anime adaptation is quite popular in the Philippines despite the flaws of the story, and the Filipino dub is considerably superior over the Japanese and English dub due to the casts were already familiar to the game.
- Narm: Jiltus and Alice's spirits appearing in the final episode asking Maya to avenge them. It kills the drama of their deaths earlier in the story.
