- The Other Darrin: The debut of Bill Corbett as Crow, replacing Trace Beaulieu. Deliberately called attention to — Mike and Servo both feel there's something "different" about Crow, but can't quite put their finger on it, and Crow himself has no memory of their past experiences with Dr. Forrester.
- Fridge Brilliance: Crow's different voice and oddly stiff movements can easily be explained by his having sat in the satellite reading a magazine for 500 years with no mechanical maintenance whatsoever.
- Fridge Logic: The Time Skip gets forgotten by the next season since when Mike becomes a Were-Crow Crow refers to his voice changing every seven years as if 500 years hadn't passed in-universe. Same thing when Joel comes and fixes the ship claiming that it's rigged to self-destruct after ten years, which should've already happened by then.
