YMMV / literally every fnf mod ever

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Yes, despite the mod's status as a joke making fun of the Turns Red mod trend, it still has plenty of bangers to provide itself.
    • Sunshine, a deceptively cheerful song that will make you feel good inside. Something also seems to be hiding in the instrumental, as odd sounds can sometimes be heard faintly in the background. Something sinister.
    • Withered, the second song of Week 1, is a catchy yet oppressive and chillingly quiet song with a quiet heartbeat-esque instrumental that culminates in a great-yet-chilling sounding duet between Bob and Boyfriend.
    • Parodical charting aside, Run is still a very intense, heart-racing track.
    • Ron, the opening track to Week 2, is an excellent showcase of the mod's new direction, having an absolute banger of a background track and some particularly complex harmonising between Boyfriend and Ron that only add even more mileage to the song. A Certified Hood Classic, indeed!
    • Trouble is a calm song, but don't let the relatively lax instrumental fool you. It has many jacks and many hard parts, and even the beginning manages to sound good. Despite being very note-heavy, it still manages to sound like a bop, even moreso than Onslaught, judging by how it has 110k views to Onslaught's 52k. It also serves as a decent warm-up to the harder and faster-paced Onslaught, while still being harder than Ron.
    • Onslaught, as the successor to Run and last song of the mod, has a powerful, climactic theme that doesn't let up for a second with its pure speed.
    • Little Man, the bonus song for Week 2, is a progressive track that lasts for a whopping seven and a half minutes, making it the Marathon Boss of the mod as it currently stands. Not only is it chock-full of references and memes from a variety of sources, it's quite the challenge to beat despite its recurring leitmotif, which is modified in ways that evoke some of SiIvaGunner's longer rips.
    • Stardust Tunes' Run, or as you may know it in the game files, "Run Remix (Because it's cool)". It manages to make Run sound like an actual song, making it sound more intense in the process. An intense, fast-paced track, Stardust Tunes' Run remix is exactly what Run would sound like as an actual song.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • In Bob's Onslaught, after finishing "Onslaught" itself, the player has a chance to run an encounter with Little Man and his titular song, with no context whatsoever to his appearance. But despite his contextlessness, a lot of people have grown to like him. His high pitched voice and constant use of memes throughout his song goes on for the sheer amount of 7 minutes, making his fight extremely hilarious and a reason to play or watch a gameplay of this mod. This likely contributed to him getting his own mod.
    • Ron from Onslaught has also gained a small following due to his utterly nonsensical behavior and "sexism", as well as his rivalry dynamic with Bob introduced in the Bob Takeover Week.
  • Fanon Welding: Bob used to have a girlfriend in the form of Opheebop. But sadly, they broke up due to Ron's treatment of her in fan-works.
  • Fridge Brilliance
    • Word of God states that Ron is only 15. That... explains a LOT about his behavior.
    • Bob's mismatched form in "Trouble" consists of half of the angry face he has in "Withered" and half of the goopy black form with realistic eyes that he has in "run". The song "Trouble" can be considered a mix of those two songs, having the lower pitch of "Withered" and the crazy note spam of "run".
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A Youtuber by the name of muganimate made a series of animations called Cooking With Ron... before the crossover update for Vs Cheeky revealed that Ron actually WAS a chef.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Sure he's an asshole, but it's hard not to feel bad for Ron when he reveals that Bob, a sadistic blob with powers beyond his comprehension tortured him for years without end for nothing more than a few laughs, along with the fact that he's aware of his existence as a fictional character, how he's treated as a joke by his creators and everyone watching him, and how he is incapable of doing anything about it.
  • Memetic Badass: Bob is confidently stated to be an extremely powerful being to the levels of Tricky and Matt upon unleashing his true form. It's even stated that Bob is canonically capable of not only being immune to the corruption from Friday Night Funkin': Corruption, but is also capable of infecting those who are corrupted with his own corruption.
    • Little Man began to get this status after the Little Man 2 week, as he's now one of THE first mod characters to canonically beat Boyfriend in a match in "Big Man", as the protagonist dies trying to imitate his notes.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Bob's Berserk Button. Explanation
    • X (In a cool way). Explanation
    • Ron Sugartits. Explanation
  • Recurring Fanon Character: In a rather amusing display of irony, Bob, despite being pretty much a walking Take That! towards "Whitty syndrome", has gained quite a few fans due to his surprisingly cute design, great songs and being considered very funny, to the point of having two crossovers.
  • Ugly Cute: Outside of his forms in Run and Trouble, Bob is surprisingly cute due to being a rather simplistic yet endearing white blob with a little smile. Even his One-Winged Angel form in Onslaught in surprisingly cute.
  • Unexpected Character: During the bonus song "Little Man", one of the multiple events that happen in the song is Little Man transforming into Tankman and CalebCity, complete with changes to his vocals. It comes off as extremely noticeable due to the song up to that point only changing the vocals without any visual differences.
  • Viewer Name Confusion: Due to the wording of the scene where Ron introduces himself lacking any punctuation causing Ambiguous Syntax, a lot of people tended to believe that Ron's full name was "Ron sugartits". However, the creator has confirmed that Ron was referring to Girlfriend as "sugartits".
