- In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, seven out of eight of the Mega Man 2 Robot Masters have their songs represented one way or another (Quick Man and Air Man having their own remixes with Heat Man's theme snuck in the former). Guess who the one left out is? Bubble Man. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there are even additional remixes for Metal Man, Wood Man, Crash Man and Flash Man, making Bubble Man the only Robot Master without any musical representation in the series.

is about Mario and Bowser trying to woo Princess Peach in their song. Cut ahead many years later to Super Mario Odyssey, where Mario and Bowser try to do exactly this at the end, where Princess Peach reject them and Mario and Bowser end up even comforting each other. As for Luigi, he's relegated to a post-game minigame.

- The Woobie: Bubble Man here is played off as extremely lonely and desperate, even moreso than his canon self. He laments how he can't go out of the water and how everyone laughs at him - which the latter isn't far off from canon either. His obsession with Mega Man is desperation on how he can't really see a lot of people. Even at the end of the video, he's shown lying lifelessly as the song fades.
