• Ugly Cute: Hófehér is a big, fat, albino woman who is considered ugly in-universe; but she also has Youthful Freckles and a cute, innocent smile.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: A cute cartoon that's a retelling of one of the most beloved fairy tales, sure it must be child-friendly? Wrong! The film is one of the darkest, most cynical works that Pannonia Film Studio ever created, a Black Comedy taking place in a Crapsack World, with an ending where The Bad Guy Wins - scarring many children whose parents believed it was a kids' cartoon.
• The Woobie: Poor Hófehér. She's created only as a cover-up for the Queen's assassination; the King immediately abandons her for being a girl; everyone in the castle is either disgusted by her or afraid of her; her stepmother wants to kill her by making her work to death; when that doesn't work she asks the huntsman to kill her; she wants to help the dwarfs but instead wrecks their house, making them so angry that they want to get rid of her by any means; and the Prince who wanted to marry her leaves her for her stepmother.
