  • Abandon Shipping: Those shipping Webby with the triplets and are unwilling to take part in Fanon Discontinuity jumped ship immediately when it was revealed she is Scrooge's daughter and therefore, their first cousin once removed. Those who don't are open to the Kissing Cousins part of the Incest Yay Shippingnote .
  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • There is no doubt that what Bradford Buzzard did in this episode and the series was evil, and the wrong way to achieve his goals, but given that he was brought on dangerous adventures by his grandmother Isabella Finch, it is hard to blame him for wanting to get rid of the chaos he witnessed. It still doesn't change the fact that his means were wrong, but the question is, if Bradford Buzzard had all of the power in the world and ruled it, would he get rid of chaos even if it means murdering everyone who opposes him, or would he become a tyrant to rule it all as he sees fit, order and chaos being beneath him at that point?
    • When May and June get confused by Webby referring to people not related to her as family (such as Lena and Violet), was it genuine confusion born from F.O.W.L. keeping them sheltered? Possible F.O.W.L. teaching that only people that share DNA with you can be considered family? Or, considering how upset Lena got when they cut the string linking her to Webby, were they trying to get someone angry at them in order to isolate Webby from them?
  • Angst? What Angst?: Ludwig von Drake treats being kept a prisoner for apparently decades, his friends and loved ones all believing him dead, as if it were little more than an inconvenience. Though this is also perfectly in line with his character.
  • Broken Base: The Reveal that Webby was actually created by F.O.W.L. with Scrooge's DNA, thus technically making her his daughter, proved to be highly divisive with fans. One half feels that this turned the "found family" aspect of her character into a Broken Aesop and preferred that she remain an honorary member of the McDuck clan. Others felt it was an interesting twist and argue that the "found family" aspect still works because it now applies to Webby and Beakley, who found Webby and raised her as her own.
  • Catharsis Factor: Bradford being reduced to pathetically begging for his life and forced by Magica to live out the rest of his days as a regular vulture after all the horrible things he did to the Duck family and everyone else, particularly informing Della about the Spear of Selene and trying to kill Donald.
  • Common Knowledge: Webby is now known to viewers as Scrooge's Opposite-Sex Clone... except nobody involved in or with knowledge of her origins ever calls her that. While she clearly wasn't conceived the traditional way, there's actually zero indication cloning was involved in her creation. The only known thing linking her to Scrooge was that she was formed from his DNA to fit the terms Scrooge wrote in the Papyrus of Binding, hence the term made instead of cloned being used when The Reveal came. Her conception is more likely to be similar to Terry McGinnis.
  • Fanfic Fuel: Since the series is over, what kind of adventures the Duck Family could have next is up to the viewer and with the different implications at the end of the episodes several subjects are brought up that can be explored:
    • Scrooge and Webby's newfound relationship as father and daughter.
    • Donald and Daisy's trip with May and June, and the latter two likely being adopted by Daisy.
    • May and June being integrated with the kids.
    • The Headless Man-Horse of the Apocalypse and how the Gargoyles universe could be integrated.
    • The various F.O.W.L. members becoming their own threat to the McDuck Family.
    • What would have happened if Bradford succeeded in killing Donald? Would the family be in mourning and give up adventuring forever, or would they search for a way to bring him back?
    • Are Darkwing, Launchpad, and Gosalyn going to find a way to get Dr. Waddlemeyer back?
  • Fanon Discontinuity: Some tend to ignore the twist of Webby being Scrooge's daughter, even those who liked the finale, due to feeling the reveal of Webby's origins undermines the "found family" aspect of her character's development.
  • Genius Bonus: This Scrooge gets what another Scrooge wished for:
And now Scrooge looked on more attentively than ever, when the master of the house, having his daughter leaning fondly on him, sat down with her and her mother at his own fireside; and when he thought that such another creature, quite as graceful and as full of promise, might have called him father, and been a spring-time in the haggard winter of his life, his sight grew very dim indeed.
  • I Knew It!:
    • The theory that Webby is April was confirmed to be correct.
    • Also, some fans guessed that Webby was a clone.
    • Additionally, some fans guessed that Isabella Finch was Bradford's grandmother.
    • Likewise, Bentley and Buford being clones of Bradford was also a rather widespread theory ultimately confirmed to be correct.
  • Like You Would Really Do It: Donald Duck is the loadstone on which the Disney Ducks universe is built, one of Disney's oldest characters at 86 years old, part of Disney’s elite Power Trio (alongside Mickey Mouse and Goofy), and one of the biggest cartoon icons of all time, but yeah, sure, he's gonna be successfully erased from existence. To say nothing of the fact that, with less than ten minutes left in the episode, there'd be no room to deal with the resulting emotional fallout.
  • Moral Event Horizon: It's hard to say when Bradford became irredeemably evil, but there are a few possibilities. When he hired Black Heron, a known Mad Scientist and Terrorist because Ludwig Von Drake rejected his Control the Chaos of the World by ruling the World from the Shadows plan, telling Della Duck about the Spear of Selene so that she would get lost in space and he was hoping she would die there, or last but not least, he threatened Scrooge Mcduck into signing the Papyrus of Binding Contract that would forbid him from adventuring ever again by threatening to kill his nephew Donald Duck, and once he got Scrooge to sign the Contract that would forbid Scrooge from Adventuring ever again, he still tried to murder Donald Duck by throwing him into the Solego Circuit Void which would erase Donald Duck from existence thus killing Donald Duck.
  • Older Than They Think: This isn't the first time the question of Scrooge having kids of his own has been raised. In addition to the questions surrounding the parentage and grandparentage of Dickie Duck in Italian comics, there's a brief moment at the end of "The Richest Duck in the World" where Scrooge regrets never starting a family of his own ("It's too late! That's the ONE experience I've never had! Yet... there was a time when I... almost..."). By giving him a daughter of his own, this Scrooge gets something his Don Rosa counterpart wanted but would never get.
  • Shocking Moments:
    • While many people expected Webby to be April, hardly anyone expected her to be an Opposite-Sex Clone of Scrooge. Rather, Scrooge's daughter as everyone admits.
    • The fact that Black Heron gets killed off rather suddenly. While she's dignified about it, and proud of Bradford, her "daughters" are shocked and call out "MOM!" in a tearful voice.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: A number of fans felt this way about the reveal regarding Webby's origins, pointing out that this turned the "found family" aspect of her character into a Broken Aesop and wanting her to be a fully separate character from Daisy's nieces. Though there are others who argue the "found family" aspect still works because it now applies to Webby and Beakley, who found Webby and raised her as her own. Not to mention this is still reinforced as May and June are integrated within the family as well as Webby's definition of family of not just the people who made you or the people you were made from, but the ones that stick by you even in the worse of times.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
    • Given that season 3 was essentially supposed to be his focus season (like with Dewey in season 1 and Louie in season 2), a number of fans wish Huey had gotten more focus during this episode.
    • Those who felt Huey did get enough time to shine tend to instead feel Mrs. Beakley was the one who didn't get enough focus, especially considering the huge twist that involves her.
    • Many Darkwing fans were disappointed that his inclusion in the story was essentially reduced to a running gag about how he doesn't know that Fenton is Gizmoduck. Neither Darkwing nor Steelbeak acknowledge their last encounter (when the latter stole the Solego Circuit plans and gave Darkwing a beatdown), with Darkwing easily getting incapacitated and thrown in a cell pretty early on, leaving the fight to Launchpad.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Not this episode specifically, but some people think it is a shame that Daisy Duck never really got to interact with Della Duck and Gladstone Gander this season or even the entire series, it would have been interesting to see Della be protective of Donald Duck, because he is her brother and as far as Della is concerned, Daisy is a Stranger that she never met before, and Daisy might also by that same token tell Della she can't forbid her from seeing Donald, because he is her boyfriend and she loves him. It would have also been interesting to see Daisy in the middle of a Love Triangle between Donald's Duck and Gladstone Gander, with the two cousins competing for her affections and love and possible hand in marriage.
  • Unexpected Character: More like "Unexpected Character Reveal" and "Unexpected Reference" rolled into one! Not only does Manny the Headless Man-Horse turn out to be "The Headless Man-Horse of the Apocalypse," he turned out to be a reference to Goliath, all down to sharing Keith David's voice and saying the iconic "I live again!" line while having the intro theme to Gargoyles play in the background!
  • The Woobie: May, June, and Webby all just want to know why they were created, but everyone around them just wants to use them or lie to them. May and June are often treated as failed experiments, Bradford doesn't even see them as people, and despite them referring to her as mom, even Black Heron tends to only see them as people and refer to them by name when they prove useful. Even so it doesn't stop the two from being devastated when Heron is killed by Bradford. To top it all off the two finally find out why they were created, as replacements for Webby that were going to be destroyed once they outlived their usefulness.
