• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Briefly discussed in Doug's guide for content creators, where he deliberately invoked it during "I threatened my viewers with a Discussion Robot" by interrupting the video halfway through with the inclusion of an entire Zorbeez commercial simply because he found it funny^note Although it's worth mentioning that the Billy Mays tier list ranking was streamed on the same day the video came out, possibly making it a form of advertising at the time.
• Crowning Moment of Awesome:
  • Anytime Chat manages to succeed in whatever game they're playing: the time they pulled off a successful Chance Time against opposing Twitch Chats as well as the insane shots when they played Peggle alongside Doug are some of the biggest highlights in the DougDoug Cinematic Universe.
  PLANNED
  • Doug and Chat raising one hundred grand to celebrate Rosa the Otter's birthday party in 2022, then blowing that amount out of the water by three times a year later is considered one of the community's high points.
• Discredited Meme: The "Parkzer is a lawyer/cop" joke was shut down by Doug after some people took the bit too far and it started actually affecting the former's personal life.^note While these jokes came with a disclaimer on Doug's most mainstream media on his Youtube channel, it is still illegal to impersonate a lawyer/cop. Labelling Parkzer with outlandish jobs is still allowed, but Doug has heavily advised steering completely clear from joking about Parkzer being a person of the law in general.
• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Parkzer, a friend of Doug's who slowly became one of the channel's most popular elements and a fixture in his own right. While Doug typically plays the Straight Man to Chat, Parkzer is himself even more of one to Doug himself. He's also shockingly unaware of most media and Internet culture, having seen very few films in his life.
  • Additionally, there's also Rosa the Sea Otter due to being the oldest living otter at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. Her overall popularity resulted in a traditional birthday stream every year celebrating her.
• Fandom Rivalry: A very intentional and competitive rivalry (granted, one in good faith) was made between Twitch/Doug's Chat and Youtube/Ludwig Ahgren's Chat, spawning from two competitions between Doug and Ludwig and then Chat vs. Chat. They competed for which was better, Youtube or Twitch, with Twitch Chat's past experience and competitive nature allowing them to take the win.
• Growing the Beard: While Doug's early content was considered entertaining and created a dedicated fanbase, Doug really took off with his "Skyrim but if Doug Says "Dragon" 10 dragons spawn" stream, which was where a lot of viewers became aware of his content and unique ideas. Tellingly, both the compilation video, and the full stream vod, are the second most viewed videos on both channels.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Just about everything involving Rosa the Otter. Doug and Twitch Chat enthusiastically celebrate her birthday each year with loads of fanart and donations to the aquarium where she's staying. This eventually culminated in Doug being sent merchandise from the aquarium itself along with framed imprints of Rosa's feet as well as him and his community getting a live shoutout during one of the aquarium's livestreams. Whenever Rosa appears on stream, Twitch Chat quickly becomes flooded with support for her. The 2022 stream of her birthday raised over one hundred thousand dollars., and a year later in 2023, Doug and Chat combined raised triple that amount.
  • Whenever "A" Crew and "Z" Crew reunite after a heated tournament, whether it's teaming up against Doug or somehow managing to get Michael to flop like a dolphin into the sunset.
  • "I let an A.I. decide my next GTA 5 video". One of the titles the A.I. generates is "GTA V but my life has a purpose". So Doug calls his little sister to tell her he loves her. Daaww.
  • In "Peggle Speedrun, but an Ai Robot threatens me with trivia", after Doug finally beats the game, he asks A.I. Bjorn for some final words. The speech it ends up giving is suprisingly heartfelt and encouraging.
    Bjorn A.I.: By the swelling stars of the cosmos, DougDoug, you've taken my breath away! Narrating your journey from a young unicorn in training to a full-fledged, radiating, grown Peggle-head, you've proven to be the epitome of dedication, resilience, and intelligence! Now let's explode with joy and celebrate DougDoug's high school graduation! Whoop whoop!
    • On top of that, Doug asks Bjorn what his grade point average would be according to him, as per the chat's request. Bjorn determined Doug's GPA to be a 4.0, which is excellent by American schooling system standards.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The entirety of I made Twitch Chat invest $10,000 in the stock market falls under this. Despite the optimism Doug has in his investments^note most of the video was recorded in January 2022, he ends up losing a significant amount of money due to factors he and Chat did not account for, such as controversy from some of the companies they invested in, a global economic recession, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • During the setup for the AI Pajama Sam video, Doug asked PointCrow if he could use his voice as part of the AI to get a voice that better fits Sam as a character. One audio mixing examples caused PointCrow to beg for Doug to Mercy Kill the voice because it sounded like it was in pain. During the actual run of the game, Doug ends up having to "kill" Sam multiple times, several of which were as much of a Mercy Kill as he could frame it as, something comments on the clips channel pointed out as being funny in retrospect.
  • In Can you beat two Mario games with ONE controller?, a TTS donation asks Doug if he can make one of his game screens fullscreen and have the other bounce around like a DVD logo. Doug refuses, stating he clearly couldn't. Months later, that chatter would get their wish twofold in the form of Doug derailing his own stream with both his and Twitch Chat's screen bouncing back and forth in Can Twitch Chat beat 1 level before I beat the whole game?.
• Lady Mondegreen: The "Poob vs. Ploob" debate is this, in particular trying to figure out which is the mondegreen and which is the proper pronunceation. Doug hears "Poob" and fights to the end for it, but many others argue it to be "Ploob", including the writer who originally wrote the line.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Spawning/You just said [X].^ExplanationThe text to speech bot whenever Doug says certain things during "If I Say" challenges, usually leading to either spawning a ton of what he said, or him dying.
    • Dumbass./Bitch.^ExplanationAdded on as a blunt point during "Smash Bros, but if I say ANY character's name then I die" whenever Doug ended up saying Ike or Ken respectively. In the former's case, Doug outright made a montage of the NUMEROUS times he ended up saying something with "ike" in the name, specifically "like".
  • RIGGED^ExplanationAnytime Twitch Chat doesn't get what they want or, in the case of Doug taking a solo challenge, Doug giving himself even the slightest advantage in said challenge will inevitably have the chat crying this.
  • Doug is good/bad at 2D platformers^ExplanationA common Badass Boast Doug makes, even if his skills are less than stellar, or a common insult Chat throws at Doug to refute the former point.
• Memetic Psychopath: There are jokes^note ...or rumors? within the community about Doug's several crimes: He's locked Chat in his basement, constantly fails to follow the law, has tried to kill free speech by snapping the English language in half, will literally kill anyone he sets his sights on, hates poor people, has murdered 25 children, commits rampant tax fraud, and is incredibly self-centered.
• Memetic Troll: Chat has gained a reputation for being the most absurdly mischievous Twitch Chat around, doing anything in their power to troll Doug and to go against anything he says.
• One-Scene Wonder: Jerma's physical reveal as the Shuffler in Shuffle-Mania was brief, and occurred at the very end of the stream, but it quickly became the most iconic moment of Shuffle-Mania, helped by the fact the "Shuffler" had already won the hearts of Chat and the audience with his love for movies.
• Rooting for the Empire: In videos where Doug and Twitch Chat compete or are opposed to each other, despite Doug trying to prop himself up as the main character, Youtube comments often find themselves sympathizing with Twitch Chat much more.
