Warning! All spoilers below are unmarked.

  • Anvilicious: "To not trust is to die." and the exact opposite. It's rammed down your throat the first chapter.

  • Captain Obvious Reveal: Nao being the 2nd killer. It was a little obvious as soon as Joan was cleared.

  • Creepy Cute: Nao's starry-eyed sprite gives a cute fanboy/childlike feel to him, but its use in trial 2...

  • Harsher in Hindsight: Most people just brushed off Tsukisae's outburst after Joan searched her room as an overreaction. However, after her first free time event, it's revealed she had an abusive home life, meaning this was the first time she could remember having privacy.

  • Ho Yay: See trivia. Every character, save roughly 3, has their Ho Yay moments.
    • Tsukisae has alternate sprites for when she's talking to Poruka, in which she's blushing.
    • Daidai is significantly more sweet to Lorde than she is with the others. She also has a flustered sprite which is used very frequently with her.

  • LGBT Fanbase:
    • The story was made by a member of the LGBTQ community, so this is pretty much a given.
    • Many, many characters have their moments that earn over this.

  • Love to Hate: Nao. If you've even taken a glance at some of the chapter 1 or even 2 comment sections, you'll probably have seen Nao hate.

  • Narm:
    • The end of trial 1. Nao ruins the moment by simply saying that he doesn't trust Lorde.
    • Daidai after Tsukisae storms off.
Daidai: Ahem. Nao didn't do anything.

  • Never Live It Down: Nao has a poor reputation within the small fanbase, and killing the arguably nicest class member didn't help. Thus, he only ever gets mentioned in offhand remarks.

  • One True Threesome: Lorde x Daidai and x Chouya, aka Kimosakirota.

  • Self-Fanservice: Joan doesn't wear a shirt under her blazer, revealing quite a bit of cleavage.

  • Spell My Name With An S: Chouya, Chōya, or Choya are all acceptable (although the former is what's in the text boxes.) Similarly, Ichidou, Ichidō, and Ichido are all acceptable as well.

  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Poruka. She was perfectly set up for development due to Tsukisae's death, but turned up dead a few days afterward.

  • Woobie: Tsukisae. She says her father heavily abused her, and everything she does is to escape him. This includes her entire mean act.
