Oh, look who's back!

Enter the Alterverse is another fan-web comic based on Star vs. the Forces of Evil by Tumblr artist MoringMark.

Takes place one year after the series finale. Star and Marco are living their lives together in Echo Creek. However, Star keeps seeing Glossaryck (her old magic mentor who supposedly died when magic was destroyed) haunting her wherever she goes. And she gets a message telling her to "Stop Mina". Despite the fact that the former Solarian Warrior has been reduced to a homeless beggar now.

The story can be read here.

The comic series has gone into hiatus since the end of the first chapter

Enter the Alterverse provides examples of:

  • 20 Minutes into the Future: Takes place a year after the series finale when they are getting ready for the first Earth-ni anniversary.
  • Affectionate Parody: Of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
  • Alternate Universe: Seems to have Star and Marco visiting another universe.
  • Apocalypse How: The alternate universe Star and Marco visit is one where Star never destroyed the magic and Solarian warriors are still running through Mewni. Also, the background has holes in it from Eclipsa's darkest spell and Marco apparently died.
  • Bait-and-Switch: It seems like Star and Marco are running from enemy monsters through their school. Turns out they just wanted their autographs.
  • Call-Back:
    • Star keeps seeing images of Glossaryck wherever she goes and thinks he's haunting her like he did in "Rest in Pudding".
    • Also for "Junk Food Friday" Marco goes to get dumpster donuts (Star dumpster dove for Donuts in Starcrushed) and Star goes to get stale fortune cookies (like in Fortune Cookies).
  • Dead Fic: As of March 30, 2022, MoringMark is no longer making Star vs. the Forces of Evil comics due to a lack of new ideas. It is uncertain if he will ever go back to continuing this series.
  • Gag Penis: Both Tom and a monster student at Echo Creek think that the replica of Glossaryck's head looks like one from far away. Of course someone always cuts them off before they can say it.
  • MacGuffin: there's a mysterious orb that grew right in the spot where Star and Marco met for the cleave. No one wants to touch it because they don’t understand it, but Ponyhead has a booth for people to throw coins at it for "good luck".
  • No Ontological Inertia: Once Mewberty Meteora reaches her mother, she returns to normal and her cheek marks vanish.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Eclipsa is now the mayor of Echo Creek.
  • Sequel Series: It's a fan sequel that takes place a year after the finale.
  • Spoiler Cover:
    • It looks like Glossaryck is coming back from the dead.
    • There is also some art pieces that the artist posed before the final page that provides spoilers for the series.[1]
  • Villain Decay: In-Universe: Mina, the once insanely powerful genocidal Mewman supremacist has been reduced to a homeless person who, according to Marco, does nothing nowadays but petty crimes (such as littering and leaving her shopping cart in the street), seemingly just to irritate Star and Marco. However, for some reason Glossaryck or possibly an alternate version of Glossaryck that's trying to contact Star sends her a message to "Stop Mina". Of course Glossaryck could be referring to an alternate Mina.
