The Gaming Galaxies is a YouTube channel, created by Nic Simon on July 5th 2014, focused on playing and reacting to a variety of video games, videos and basically whatever he's in the mood to make a video on.

He has a number of series of videos

G.G. Plays: Where Nic plays through a specific video game.

G.G. Reacts: Where Nic reacts to another youtuber's content, be it a one of video or a series of videos.

G.G. Reviews: Where Nic reviews any given piece of media. Notable examples include the pilot for Alpha Betas, Avengers Grimm, Death Note (2017) and Clue.

Gaming Galaxies provide examples of:

  • Aborted Arc: His ability to start something and actually finish it is sporadic.
    • His original playthrough of Pirate101 ceased after episode 15, he's claimed it was due to burnout from only playing that game and losing the later footage. The playthroughs of Deadpool, Doom (2016) and Skylanders Supercharged have no such excuse.
    • His reactions to Meta Runner Season 1 stopped after the fourth epsiode, but this eventually became subverted as he later reacted to the complication movie.
  • Crossover: With Rob of Cinematic Venom, twice, Once in his review of The Dark Knight Stumbles. And again in their review of Clue.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Outside of his Trailer Styles, the amount of videos without him being sarcastic can be counted on one hand.
  • Dull Surprise: In the Avengers Grimm review, after waking up in Hell, he isn't particularly shocked.
  • Epic Fail: Frequently prone to screwing up spectacularly, both in and out of videos.
    • In more than one round of Among Us as the impostor, he kills a crewmate in the hallway outside of navigation, and immediately is caught by another player. He doesn't even deny it.
  • No Name Given: The Demon character in the Avengers Grimm review is never named.
  • Spell My Name with a "The": Overlaps with Insistent Terminology. Nic frequently refers to his channel as The Gaming Galaxies, both when spoken aloud and written as text, despite the "The" not being in the channel name.
