Old Man Sonic is a series of shorts by Dorkly parodying the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and Old Man Logan while also telling an original story.
The story focuses on Sonic, who now lives in a world where the Sonic fanbase has taken over in the aftermath of Sega's bankruptcy. The world is now inhabited by Sonic Original Characters, with Sonic himself now just some distant memory. With the help of his old sidekick Tails, Sonic attempts to get himself out of debt in order to support his struggling family.

This series contains examples of:
- All for Nothing: Despite Sonic overcoming his past trauma, killing the bad design Sonic, and Tails using his legs for new tails, Sonic's house had been lit on fire and his family was killed by the OCs.
- An Arm and a Leg: Tails lost both of his tails shortly after the fandom took over, with an OC named Baruto using them as a fursuit. In the finale, he steals Original Design Movie Sonic's legs after Sonic tears him apart.
- Babies Ever After:
- Sonic ended up marrying a squirrel and conceiving a son.
- Tails once hooked up with an OC, who got mpreg and had an "edgelord OC kid" named HateMyDad_420.
- Back for the Dead: Cream, who vowed to get revenge on Sonic, was accidentally shot dead by Original Design Movie Sonic when Sonic diverted his aim.
- Bad Future: The Sonic universe is now overrun with Sonic fanart characters, who run amok with their disturbing fetishes.
- Big Bad: Cream. Actually, it was Original Design Movie Sonic who wanted to kill Sonic so that people would draw inappropriate fan art of him. Cream was accidentally shot dead by him when Sonic diverted his aim.
- Bratty Teenage Daughter: HateMyDad_420, who resents Tails and constantly whines.
- Character Development: When confronted by the danger of being killed by Original Design Movie Sonic, Sonic moves past his traumatic incident and uses his Super-Speed to kill Original Design Movie Sonic.
- Chekhov's Skill: Episode 3 reveals that Sonic accidentally killed his friends when he ran into them at high speed while trying to beat his own record. In Episode 4, he ends up killing Original Design Movie Sonic the same way.
- Crapsack World: The world of Sonic the Hedgehog is overrun by fan-made characters, and the actual Sonic lost everything when it happened.
- Disgusting Public Toilet: Exaggerated to its logical limit. A urinal Sonic used at a gas station was the face of a Sonic OC.
- Expy: Parodied; many of the fan characters are basically just redesigns of canon characters. For example, Mpreg Greg looks exactly like Knuckles, only pregnant.
- Failed a Spot Check: Neither Sonic, Tails, or HateMyDad_420 seem to notice Robotnik begging them to let him out of the trunk of their car. They all assume the noises are coming from the car itself.
- Gag Penis: Turns out Tails has two penises that are long enough for him to fly the same way he would fly with his tails.
- Grand Finale: Sonic and Tails finally reaches the person they were delivering to: Original Design Movie Sonic. He only requested the package to get an opportunity to assassinate Sonic so that people will make bad fan art of him. Fortunately, Sonic overcomes his traumatic backstory and uses his Super-Speed to tear Original Design Movie Sonic apart. Unfortunately, Sonic's house caught on fire while he and Tails were gone.
- His Name Really Is "Barkeep": All the fan characters that are shown or mentioned have names that are either unoriginal (Baruto) or sound like online usernames (Darksteel and HateMyDad_420).
- Implied Rape: Mpreg Greg telling Sonic what will happen if he does not repay his debts.
- Kill and Replace: Original Design Movie Sonic ordered the package so that he could kill the original Sonic, and thus fans will have no choice but to make bad fan art of him. Fortunately, Sonic overcame his past trauma and killed him instead.
- Late to the Punchline: Tails apparently never realized that his real name, Miles Prower, was a pun on "miles per hour."
- Meaningful Name: Tails' daughter, HateMyDad_420. She hates her father and loves weed.
- Mister Seahorse: Male pregnancy, shortened as "mpreg", is common with the Sonic fan characters. In particular, there's Mpreg Greg, a Knuckles lookalike who Sonic is in debt with.
- Not Quite Dead: Cream, who vowed to get revenge on Sonic for the incident. She gets killed off anyway in the Grand Finale without getting to ambush Sonic.
- Origin Story: Episode 3 reveals how Sonic became what he is now. He accidentally killed all his friends while attempting to break his spindash record, and vowed to never be fast again. It's not as dramatic as it sounds.
- Parody: Aside from Sonic the Hedgehog, the series parodies old gritty western films from the 60s and Old Man Logan.
- Posthumous Character: Robotnik is presumed dead by Tails, and Sonic believes that he's better off dead than to have to suffer what the world became. Subverted in that he's actually trapped in the trunk of Tails' car (previously owned by Robotnik), with Sonic and Tails somehow not hearing his cries for help. He escapes in the finale when Sonic accidentally breaks open the trunk, revealing him to be very muscular.
- Put on a Bus: HateMyDad_420 gets a boyfriend and leaves the group between episodes 3 and 4, apparently having hooked up with a green, muscular version of Big the Cat and got "super pregnant".
- Real Life Writes the Plot: Original Design Movie Sonic's motivation for wanting to kill Sonic? Original Movie Sonic is the only incarnation not to have any gross fanart of him, and by killing Sonic, fans will have no choice but to make fanart of him too.
- Shout-Out: The first two episodes have the Gerudo Valley theme from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time playing in the background at certain points.
- Sudden Downer Ending: Sonic’s house is burnt down while he was away.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Cream lights and smokes a cigarette to look cool… and promptly chokes since she’s never smoked before.
- Tempting Fate: After killing Original Design Sonic and overcoming his past trauma, Sonic says that he hopes everything is fine back home. Tails ask what could possibly have gone "horribly tragically wrong." Gilligan Cut to Sonic's house in flames and his wife and kid dead.
- Take That!: The entire series is basically one big long jab towards the darker side of the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.
