WMG / The Angry Birds Movie

Red and Terence will be revealed to be related in the sequel, like in the game.
Think about him being a orphan in the first movie is the major cause for Red's anger issues, so him discovering actual family would be a major turning point for him in a sequel.
  • Jossed
    • Maybe this will happen in third movie.

Judge Peckinpah controling Bird Island?
Judge Peckinpah almost looks like he's in control of everything on Bird Island, meaning keep the happy birds and make the birds with anger issues take anger management until they become happy. Think about it, he's wanted Red to take anger management and he's always saying that his opinion isn't needed.
  • What if he was just trying to make Bird Island into a Utopia and that he was actually a villain this whole time? It could help to explain why he's not in the sequel.

The first movie has been accused of spreading a message that can best be summarized as: "Immigrants will come into your country, steal your resources, and destroy your home."

The Pigs society runs on Rule of Funny.
This may explain why Leonard apparently sleeps in diaper despite being an adult (and king of his people, to boot!), male pigs cheerlead and perform ballet in dresses, how some of their houses look like accordions, why they made staircases of their bodies and their Affably Evil tendencies in first movie that ultimately lead to their genuine Heel–Race Turn in the sequel.

Terence's incident was a car accident.
When during Final Battle Terence pulls a Big Damn Heroes moment by saving other birds with pigs truck, Matilda implies that Terence Drives Like Crazy. And given that we hear car crashing when we are presented to Terence reason of being in Anger Management Class, makes it easy to put the puzzles together and figure out what Terence did.

Hal camed back on purpose.
Before he was shot from the slingshot, Hal didn't seemed like he wanted to join the fight and was genuinely shocked and scared when he was shot in direction of Leonard's castle. This could mean that Hal returned on purpose to the hill where slingshot was, and lied to birds by asking them if they managed to retrieve eggs in order to hide his refusal to fight against pigs. Also, in comics Hal is depicted as a pacifist who tries to stay behind from this whole "pigs stole eggs, so birds now have to beat pigs' butts" thingy, which could possibly mean that this aspect of Hal's personality applies to him in the movie continuity as well, possibly explaining why he didn't wanted to fight with pigs and came back after being shot from slingshot.

Terence is Elective Mute.
Just like Spike, Terence is able to talk but doesn't want to most of the time. This could explain why he was singing near the end of "Mighty Red" song.
