WMG / Hiveswap Friendsim

Go To

The protagonist is a child or very young teen.
Their attraction to and/or making out with various known-to-be-underage members of the Troll Call isn't presented as inappropriate, they look up to Elwurd in the way young teens do to older kids, they lack any Secondary Sexual Characteristics which may imply they haven't developed them yet, and most adults would probably know better than to steal a spaceship they didn't know how to drive or where they were going in.
  • Seems to be confirmed: Konyyl asks if the PC lives with adults on their planet, and they respond "yes", not "I am an adult".
    • Hopefully Jossed that they're an actual child because they're sexually active in one route, but precocious mid-teens isn't out of the question. Of course, they could be of a group where the adults have rather childlike mannerisms too, which leads to...

The protagonist is a carapace.
They once make reference to "if [they]'d had parents", which implies they never did, they're drawn to look very much like one, the trolls can't tell their gender (while human gender cues are more or less the same as troll ones), and they have a similar naive attitude as the carapaces did, particularly WV.
  • Possibly Jossed in that they do refer to being a human, but we know their mind has already been messed with, and this theory could synergise the two possibilities.

Elwurd is hiding something very big.
Not just her hidden full name (if Elwurd is even her real second name). Notice how she's willing and able to lie to others, but reacts with what looks like actual fear if you tell her you lied to her? In Alternia, secrets can get you killed. If she's lying about something big, she may be hiding things as a matter of habit, and react badly to the tables being turned because she needs to be able to trust the people around her. Seemingly confirmed; she sells drugs.

Included in the above, that's not her real name and the L-word in question is something other than the obvious.
The obvious meaning clearly does apply but, as shown in Homestuck, trolls don't have words denoting homosexuality because gender preferences are so trivial to a species in which everyone can reproduce with everyone, so if it's a fake name she didn't choose it for that reason. Since she's very mellow for a cerulean, it's not out of the question that she could be the kind of actual activist Zebruh pretends to be, and picked a codename referring to "lowbloods"...

Vikare will be killed by the Soleils.
"Soleil" means "sun", and Vikare is the Etruscan name for Icarus...

The trolls do have full classpect titles.
We just don't know them because they're not playing S Grub. All but two of them have their aspects confirmed by the Extended Zodiac, but not their titles. There are possible clues, however, and speculation runs rampant.

Tyzias' matesprit is Marvus Xoloto.
The "shitshow" mentioned on his card might be the rebellion, which would tie the two of them to both being major players in it.

  • Jossed - Tyzias’ matessprit is Stelsa Sezyat.

Marvus is not really a purpleblood.
There are a lot of little possible oddities about him, and his route's notorious Fetish Fuel / Fetish Retardant content could have been put in just as a distraction from them.

Potential limebloods among the Troll Call trolls include...
Marvus- as mentioned above, there's a lot of inconsistencies about him that suggest something more; Boldir- she's said to have some very big secrets, olive is close enough to lime for her to blend in at a glance, and her hat would shade her face if she blushed, making the colour less apparent; and Daraya- the makeup would disguise her blood colour if she blushed, the blood on her lips in the bad ending looks lime-coloured while the jade sign isn't affected by the smoke, and her rebellious nature could in part stem from knowing her existence is illegal.

Diemen is a child prostitute.
He's homeless in a society which is later shown to have incinerators for dumpsters, yet he's quite chubby and always seems to have food. He looks very young but gets into a rowdy party with older teens who are engaging in sex and drugs, he uses sexual innuendo every other sentence, and after knowing the protagonist for about five minutes he takes off his shirt in front of them and tries to get them to kiss him. Such behaviour in kids as young as he appears to be is often a sign of sexual trauma. Most likely just an extremely unfortunate combination of innocent traits, but it's unsettling.

The player character is aromantic pansexual.
They've demonstrated sexual attraction to characters of multiple genders, but seem uncomfortable with the idea of being in a romantic relationship, even a pale one (which is romantic to trolls but less so by human standards).

Doc Scratch wasn't manipulating the player character at all.
He certainly claims to have been...but when you take Visual Novel/Pesterquest into account, it throws those claims into question. It's more likely Doc was trying to remove something that was throwing his plans out of whack and made the claim because it helped him keep the MSPA Reader where he could keep an eye on him because the player's proving very hard to kill.

Mind you, someone is pulling the player's strings. It's just not ol' Cueball.

Friendsim will receive a sequel that introduces more trolls.
To tide over the wait until Act 3 of Hiveswap, naturally. This time, they may even include actual seadwellers, including Cridea Jeevik and Fiamet. This will also function as a sequel to Pesterchum as the MSPA Reader keeps trying to get their friends from the first game to come to Earth.

The Soleils are bilaterally dimorphic.
One identifies as male and the other as female, yet they hatched from the same egg thus must be identical. One could be trans, or they could be a more human-typical type of intersex, but they also have asymmetrical horns, and trolls hatch from eggs rather than being mammals. Bilateral dimorphism is only possible in egg-laying species such as birds and butterflies. The Soleils also each have mismatched horns, so they could have a bilateral split, and it would tie in with their motif of being like the cherubs, who also have two sexes in one body.
