Given plans for the original Homestuck, as described by Andrew Hussie, included "making Korra look like Republican propaganda," it's no wonder that there's plenty of gay relationships, in subtext and in plain old text.
Since the MSPA Reader isn't gendered, any subtext with them can be considered gay.

- Tyzias doesn't refer to her matesprit by any specific pronouns. She is confirmed to be dating Stelsa, as of Volume Thirteen.
- Elwurd never mentions being interested in any male trolls, and her name seems to hint heavily towards her being a lesbian.
- Lynera's yandere nature towards Bronya.
- Depending on how you look at it, Marsti/Folykl could be this.
- Daraya is implied to have a crush on Elwurd, and hangs around her hive in the hope of joining her party.

- People jumped to conclusions when Amisia referenced Chahut's advice during her bad end, but that fan favorite ship was deliberately sunk during Chahut's route, wherein the Reader asks if they're in any quadrants and Amisia says she's too young for quadrants (she does seem to want to be Chahut's moirail, but she touts her age and Chahut's imminent conscription as reasons why not).
- The victory screen for Polypa's route has the Reader holding hands with her, with a diamond.
- Similarly, the Reader possibly being moirails with Chixie and Stelsa is suggested by their victory screens.
- Tegiri is implied to be interested in being Polypa's moirail. The fact that a few of their brief cameos in later routes are together supports this.
- The beginning of the friendship between Tyzias and Daraya could be seen as this.

- Zebruh suggests a scheme to trick Marvus into an ashen relationship, by having the Reader fake an attempt on his life.
- The bad ending of Charun's route has the Reader feel the need to settle Konyyl and Azdaja's argument, and the game over screen shows the club symbol.
Unclear, miscellaneous, or just plain weird
- The synonyms used for Diemen's hotdogs are incredibly phallic.
- Kuprum and Folykl can drain the Reader dry of life energy in some sort of bizarre three way before leaving them for dead.
- The Grand Highblood comments on the Reader's legs. The rest of the clown church immediately proceeds to check their legs out.
- Zebruh's desperate thirst for everyone and anything doesn't seem to be limited to one quadrant, much to the distaste of the Reader and basically everyone around him.
- Mallek takes off his shirt in his route, and blushes after rescuing the Reader.
- The Reader is given the opportunity to smell Marvus's armpits after being attached to something resembling a crucifix. The name of the song that plays during his route is Clownfucker. The less said about it, the better.
- In the nsfw route, the MSPA reader has sex with Lanque.
